Coinciding with the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity held in Kunming, Yunnan, China, in response to the goal of "reversing the current trend of biodiversity loss, and then fully realizing the vision of harmonious coexistence between man and nature" proposed by the "Kunming Declaration" of the conference, the three departments of the Municipal Planning Resources Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Corps, the Municipal Wildlife Rescue and Domestication and Breeding Center, and the Municipal Green Ecological Barrier Field Command were recently held in the "Tianjin Green Screen" The Jinnan section will concentrate on the release of wild birds seized by law enforcement, and effectively protect the biodiversity of our city with practical actions.
On the morning of October 26, the Staff of the Municipal Planning resources Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Corps and the Municipal Wild Breeding Center released a total of 127 wild birds under national first- and second-level protection and the municipal key protected wild birds in the Bali Bay Area of Tianjin Luping, and the wild birds released by law enforcement in the Early Stage of the Law Enforcement Corps after being confiscated by the Law Enforcement Corps. After professional and technical personnel rescue and breeding of wild birds and rewilding training, the current physical condition of all skills have reached the standard of wild release.
Fan Shuhe, second-level inspector of the Municipal Planning and Resources Bureau and deputy head of the green ecological barrier site command, pointed out that the construction of the green ecological barrier in the twin cities is a basic project for the city to promote green development, sustainable development and high-quality development, an important measure to implement the requirements of national ecological civilization construction and the major national strategy of coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and a practical action to build an ecological "moat" around the capital and build an ecologically livable and modern Tianjin city. Today, the green ecological barrier with a total area of 736 square kilometers in the middle of Tianjin's central urban area and Binhai New Area fully demonstrates the urban background of Tianjin's ecological priority and green development. The release site selected this time is the green barrier Tsunan BaliWan area, where the environment is very suitable for the life and reproduction of wild birds.
Chen Xiangdong, chief of the Municipal Planning resources comprehensive administrative law enforcement corps, pointed out that since the establishment of the municipal planning resources law enforcement corps more than a year ago, 110 cases of unlicensed breeding of wild animals have been disposed of on the spot, and 691 wild birds in the wild breeding center have been seized and handed over by law enforcement; 15 clues of criminal cases involving wild animals were handed over to the public security department, 16 suspects of violations and crimes were investigated and punished, and more than 300 animals protected by the state at the first and second levels were seized, and more than 350 animals under key municipal protection were seized. In this regard, calling on the masses to protect wild birds is to protect the ecological environment, and the Municipal Planning resources law enforcement corps insists on adopting "zero tolerance" measures for wildlife-related violations, and will continue to increase the intensity of crackdowns and effectively do a good job in wildlife protection law enforcement.
