Wharton said he could expect Harrison Barnes to start in the No. 3 or No. 4 position, and in the modern NBA, Buddy Hield has no reason not to play as a small forward.
Walton has said he wants to see more of a three-back line-up, and he wants to see some different line-ups in his team, including a possible four-back line-up.
Walton said some of the players on the team were injured, but in Tuesday's first preseason game (against the Suns), all of them are expected to play.
