Ningbo, Zhejiang: River water pouring residents trapped fire emergency rescue

The reporter learned from the fire department of Haishu District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, that at about 6 p.m. today (13th), affected by the continuous rainfall brought by Typhoon "Candu", river water backfilled near the horn mouth of Dongqiao Town, Haishu District, and some residents were trapped, including many women and children, who were in urgent need of assistance. After receiving the alarm call from the masses, the Ningbo Haishu Fire Rescue Brigade immediately dispatched 5 water rescue teams and dispatched 5 vehicles of more than 30 rescue personnel to the scene for rescue.

Fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene and found that the water in some sections of the road was very deep, the water level was about 1.7 meters deep, and the water flow was turbulent. Firefighters searched based on the information provided by the police and successfully helped the trapped people onto kayaks and transferred them to safety. Up to now, fire rescue personnel have evacuated a total of 4 trapped families, transferred 13 people, and rescue is still in progress.
