In July 2021, the public interest litigation case-handling personnel of the county procuratorate worked tirelessly through the streets, squares, parks and other places in the county to investigate the phenomenon of blind lanes being encroached upon under the scorching sun and holding cameras; approached the visually impaired, indirectly felt their difficulties in passing, and listened attentively to their worries and opinions and suggestions; timely held public interest litigation forums in the field of barrier-free environment; and issued pre-litigation procuratorial suggestions to relevant administrative departments. After the procuratorial recommendations are issued, all departments attach great importance to it, fully cooperate, take measures, take immediate action, and conscientiously perform their statutory duties within a two-month rectification period. The blind lanes in Forest Park, Wenmiao Park, Xinghe Road, Heyang West Road and other sections have been encroached upon and damaged have been effectively rectified and repaired, the barrier-free passages of public toilets in Monument Park have been upgraded and transformed, 13 intersections with large flow of people have been equipped with blind bells with voice prompts, 2800 square meters of damaged pavement has been repaired, and 172 broken manhole covers have been replaced.
