In July 2020, because my 9-year-old daughter said that she was bored after school and wanted to have a cat - in fact, she was talking about a blue cat, and after I posted a message in the circle of friends that I wanted to have a cat, I chose to adopt a tanuki cat from a friend's family that was just one month old.
When yuntu's name was given to her daughter, she said that she saw a cute tiger named Yuntu on the Internet, and with a hint of expectation, this little tanuki cat became my family's yuntu.
The first time I saw it, it was only the size of a palm, but the milk was fierce, it was kept in captivity on the first floor of the home, even if it was to give the child an extra playmate, the days passed day by day, the blink of an eye the little guy had three months, accidentally opened the window, it sneaked out, all ready to never come back, when shopping back, but found that it went around the building to stay at the front door and followed our footsteps into the door.
Since then, it is not a pet cat in captivity, but has begun a career of free-range, slipping out of the window in the morning, and at some point it is quietly lying in the cat nest on the balcony, but its courage is very small, only dare to walk around the perimeter of the house, and often will be scratched by the wild cats of the community, covered in blood, but rest for a few days, it will be alive again!
When I was 10 months old, I encountered a life crisis, which may be too relieved about the home environment, neglected to vaccinate, and led to infection with cat plague, lying on the ground for 5 days, almost all the favorite food was not moved; but fortunately, in the friend's pet hospital got careful treatment, it is said that at the same time "admitted" to the same room Several other cats and dogs have died one after another, and it has miraculously improved or even disappeared, and finally returned to lively and jumpy.
When the summer came, due to no experience, did not know that it carried fleas, did not deal with it in time, resulting in the child and family members were bitten by fleas unbearable, and later went to Taishan Community Hospital to get Chinese medicine, the problem was solved. Then the summer vacation came, because of the work, need to travel, afraid that no one to feed, so I drove a thousand kilometers, brought it back to my hometown in Henan, thus changing from a Xiang cat to a Yu cat.
When he first arrived in the yard of his hometown, Yun imaged a poor orphan, frequently bullied by wild cats that foraged in the yard, limping and jumping, and the scars of deep visible bones appeared almost every few days, but as time went on, perhaps because of the rich experience of fighting, slowly guarded the territory of the old yard, the wild cat gradually disappeared, and it also succeeded in becoming a cat that guarded the home.
Because there is no one in the yard, except for my vacation home to use occasionally; when I returned to Hunan to work, Grandma undertook the task of delivering cat food at a daily time, a steamed bun every day plus some chicken breast minced and mixed together, plus some cat food became the standard, and under the nourishment of the northern food, the cat became fatter and fatter, and the thin body also began to become fat, and gradually had a sense of prestige; although Grandma felt that it was a bit troublesome to deliver food every day, she also took responsibility seriously - after all, it was a life. And it's very clingy.
But yesterday, the brother-in-law went home from Work in Shandong for a vacation, brought fresh seafood to the family to taste, the sister kindly threw some shells to the cat to taste it, but did not think, today's grandmother used to feed, did not hear the urgent meow and as usual waiting, and finally found its body in the cracks in the wall, perhaps food poisoning, perhaps a joke problem, this tanuki cat that spanned a thousand kilometers, forever left in the land of Henan.
Although it is only 15 months old so far, it has left a deep impression and indelible memory as a member of the family.
