During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, there was always a saying: "The Sichuan Army, the Dian Army, and the Qian Army are sheep, the Xiang Army is the head wolf, and the Gui Army is a tiger and a wolf." ”
Indeed, guangxi people have been brave and good at war since ancient times, known as Guangxi's "wolf soldiers", and they have never spared their lives on the battlefield.
Today's introduction is the famous general of the War of Resistance in the Gui Army: Li Pinxian, a second-class general.

Li Pinxian was born in 1890 in Cangwu, Guangxi, his father was a very famous local talent, and he had high hopes for Li Pinxian since he was a child, and Li Pinxian did not lose his father's face, and he had already passed all the examinations in the county at the age of 13.
But unfortunately, when Li Pinxian grew up, just in time for the abolition of the imperial examination, in desperation, Li Pinxian had to abandon Wen Congwu and was admitted to the Baoding Army Officer School and began a military career.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Li Pinxian was appointed by Chiang Kai-shek as the commander-in-chief of the 11th Group Army, led 100,000 Gui troops, and successively participated in the Battle of Songhu, the Battle of Xuzhou, the Battle of Wuhan, the Battle of Zaoyi, the Battle of Suizao, and other battles, and made countless contributions.
Especially in the Battle of Wuhan, because the Battle of Xuzhou had just been fought, the strength of the troops had not yet recovered, and the Japanese had sent out aircraft to bomb, and the situation in Wuhan was very grim.
At the critical moment, Li Pinxian received an order from Bai Chongxi to stay in the Guangji District of Wuhan, and told Li Pinxian that if he couldn't hold on, you shouldn't come back!
Without saying a word, Li Pinxian immediately gathered his 100,000 Gui army and prepared for battle, under the bombardment of Japanese aircraft and intensive artillery fire, Li Pinxian insisted on holding the Guangji District for more than 30 days!
One of the most famous things about Li Pinxian was that he used anti-aircraft guns to shoot down a Japanese plane and killed a japanese general.
It was on December 17, 1942, when Li Pinxian received an intelligence from the agents that a Japanese plane would fly from Nanjing to Wuhan the next day, and that there would be important Japanese military figures on the plane, passing through the defense zone where Li Pinxian was located.
Li Pinxian immediately gathered his troops and set up multiple layers of air defense equipment in the position overnight, and Li Pinxian also carried out his treasured Collection of French-made anti-aircraft machine guns and heavy machine guns, which the Japanese called "machine guns," and ordered the troops to aim all muzzles and muzzles at the sky.
By the next day, it was raining lightly, and it was foggy weather, coupled with the arrogance of the Japanese pilots, they would not believe that the Chinese army would be able to shoot down their own planes, so they flew very low.
When the plane reached the sky over Li Pinxian's defense zone, countless shells and bullets soared into the sky, shooting the plane down and then exploding.
When verifying the identities of the personnel inside the plane, it was found that sitting on the plane was General Tsukada, commander of the 11th Army of the Japanese Army invading China and commander of the Central China Dispatch Army, which was also the highest-ranking Japanese general killed by China during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
After this battle, Li Pinxian's reputation spread throughout the country, and Chiang Kai-shek also specially gave a commendation and personally wrote an inscription: "The army must learn 188 and 189." "These 188 and 189 are the 188th and 189th divisions of the 84th Army under Li Pinxian's command, which have become model divisions of the Nationalist Army.
In 1944, Li Pinxian was appointed commander of the Tenth Theater of Operations, sitting on an equal footing with Li Zongren, Yan Xishan, and others.
During the Liberation War, Bai Chongxi served as the military and political chief of central China, and specially transferred Li Pinxian to serve as a deputy commander, but under the invincible offensive of the People's Liberation Army, if Li Pinxian could fight again, he would eventually be a mantis arm as a car.
In December 1949, Li Pinxian took his family and ran to Taiwan.
In Taiwan, because Li Pinxian was not a concubine of Chiang Kai-shek, he retired after two years of idle service. What do you do after retirement? You would never have imagined that the neighbors would be elected as the "neighborhood chief", that is, the president of the neighborhood committee.
This can't help but feel a little funny, the army general who led 100,000 wolf soldiers is now the neighbor commander responsible for dealing with the shortness of the parents!
To this end, Li Pinxian also wrote a poem to mock himself: "In the past, 100,000 teachers were unified, and now they are a hundred parents." If there are many people in the service, they should also be willing to bow down. The heavenly path is repetitive, and the cause and effect are not happy. ”
In his later years, Li Pinxian repeatedly expressed his longing for his hometown in Guangxi, hoping to go back one day to see it, but until his death in 1987, he could not realize this wish.
