Recently, with the continuous increase in temperature, diseases and insect pests such as pine yellow leaf bees, pine needle small curl moths, and double-striped fir tianniu have occurred widely along the Yellow River and have entered the peak period of insect pests. The harm of these diseases and insects is directly related to the ecological safety and biosecurity of JiaXian County, as well as the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
On June 1, the Forestry Bureau of Jiaxian County made arrangements for the prevention and control of diseases and insects, with the goal of building a continuous and complete, structurally stable and functional system of shelter forests along the Yellow River, increasing the coverage of forest and grass vegetation on both sides of the Yellow River and improving the quality of trees as the main direction of attack. Director Zhang Zhiping and the main leaders in charge personally went to the scene to guide the work, and dispatched a group of professional and technical personnel to carry out a week-long pest control work on about 20,000 vegetation plants in the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, Mutouyu to Flea Town along the sides of the Huangguan Road for about 35 kilometers, and about 25 kilometers of green belts on both sides of the road from Flea Town to Keng Town.
The comprehensive pest control work killed adult insects by spraying pesticides on tank three-wheeled vehicles; painted the trunk white, so that insects can be cured and insect-free; dead dead wood and wind folding wood were removed, branches in the forest were removed, and the forest health was protected, so that the degree of harm caused by forest diseases and insects along the Yellow River was significantly reduced, and the density of insect populations was significantly reduced. This work has effectively promoted the improvement of quality and greening along the Yellow River and ensured the sustainable development of forest and grass resources along the Yellow River.
