Five years ago, I involuntarily participated in the "Birdman" series and became a member of the "Birdman" series, which is more than half a hundred years old and often enjoys it. Although my "combat radius" is basically limited to Xishuangbanna, the process of getting close to birds has decisively separated me from the past history of participating in bird hunting and bird hunting when I was young, and I have become an environmental protection volunteer who loves birds and protects birds.
The first thing I participated in filming was the "Red Plum Sparrow" in the Tianba of Mengsong Village, Menglong Town, Jinghong City. Listening to friends say how beautiful the "red plum sparrow" is, how rare, the only thing that can be filmed in the country is Mengsong Village, etc., I itched, so I borrowed the unit's "Nikon 640 Ding", with the D3S that was originally borrowed from the unit to shoot news films, carried a tripod, and followed them up the mountain. I didn't expect to win the first battle and get some good images.
In the following years of the breeding season, I will go to Mengsong Village to shoot "Red Plum Sparrow", thousands of photos and videos selected from them that I think are better, as treasures, carefully preserved, and often in the circle of friends, "Red Plum Finch" also ushered in bird watching "birding" enthusiasts all over the country, hundreds of people every year. The local bird guide "Little Pepper" has also become famous in the "Bird Circle", "Red Plum Finch" breeding season she is often busy, it is difficult to take care of the home, but the hard work has a return, "Bird People" will pay accommodation fees, bird point fees and even to Jinghong to pick up the car and other service fees, every year she also has a certain income. Several of the articles we published in this interview subsequently attracted the attention of relevant departments and won the annual journalism award at or above the provincial level.
Under the guidance, help and support of xishuangbanna bird experts and wildlife conservation agencies, Zhang Yun of the Red Star Group of Mengsong Village, Li Chenghua, Zhang Xiaodong and other Hani compatriots of the Chalan Group made a special trip to Baihualing Village in Baoshan City to visit and study, and successively built more than ten "bird ponds" on the edge of the Bulong Prefecture-level Nature Reserve, and they also completed the role change from hunting birds to loving birds and protecting birds. Not long after, a few of our "bird people" also became their friends and regular customers, often going to their bird pond to watch birds and "fight birds", and constantly promoting the Indo-Burmese shou belt, long-tailed parrot, green-winged golden dove, silver-eared acacia bird, and silver-breasted silk crowned bird in the WeChat circle of friends, which attracted many "bird people" and achieved some results.
The fact that the Hani people of Menglong Town opened bird ponds, introduced "bird people," and made profits naturally attracted the attention of the ordinary people of other townships and towns, and several ordinary people, including daosan of the Xiaopingzhang Village Group in Dadugang Township, were one of them, and they quickly went to Mengsong Village to visit and learn from the scriptures, and built four or five bird ponds.
Mengla County, Menglun Town, Daka Village and other new villages of Piaohai and that month and several other Hani farmers can not sit still, under the guidance and help of experts from the nearby Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, three or four "bird ponds" have also been built, ushering in silver breast silk crowns, shou belts, green-winged golden doves, blue-winged leaf plovers and other birds that can be regarded as "stars". Every day to the "bird pond" to see the liveliness of the elves, every day full of joy. Since then, they have also completed the role change from bird hunting to bird love and bird protection.
If there is only the fragrance of flowers and no birds, the world will certainly not be complete, and "biodiversity" will not be able to talk about. Constantly discovering new bird species and constantly attracting "star birds" to fly down the pond are the topics that "bird people" talk about, and it is also where their expectations lie. Just think, if human beings destroy the ecology without restraint and mutilate living things without humanity, then all that is left in this world is human beings, and what is damaged is everything beautiful. This is a "tragic story" that people do not want to see.
Double-braided eight-colored plover
Zhao Jiangbo of xishuangbanna tropical botanical garden has said that the ultimate goal of supporting the villagers of Mo and other new villages to build bird ponds is to be able to see eight-colored birds enter the pond. In the middle of July, they found a nest of double-braided eight-colored plovers in the wild, and on the 18th I went to shoot it, but unfortunately the female double-braided eight-colored thrush was protecting the birds in the nest, only showing her head and refusing to go out of the nest, and the male double-braided eight-colored thrush that did not know where to go did not come back to feed, and it rained again, so we had to put away the equipment and go home. Fortunately, after 4 p.m. that day, The sea took photos and videos of the male birds returning to feed, and finally saw the true appearance of the double-braided eight-colored plover. As soon as the news spread, bird friends from all over the country rushed to shoot, and everyone returned satisfied.
