After receiving the report, the police were immediately organized to rush to the scene of the Yizi police station to inspect, and after the forest public security police contacted the Judicial Identification Center of the Yunnan Endangered Species Science and Technology Commission (photo) for identification, it was preliminarily determined that the wild animal was a maned lion and did not belong to the protection level of wild animals.
Afterwards, the Forest Public Security Bureau contacted the Panzhou Zoo and sent the maned lion to the Panzhou Zoo for observation and feeding at 21:57 on the same day, so that the maned lion from an unknown source was effectively rescued.
Little common sense
The maned lion lizard (scientific name: Pogona vitticeps), or central maned lion lizard, is a daily species of the flying lizard family.
