When there is an outbreak or outbreak of vector-borne diseases, or when the density of vector organisms increases suddenly due to natural disasters, climate or environmental changes, affecting people's work, life or there is a risk of disease transmission, or when there is a major activity guarantee work, Shanghai will activate the emergency plan. Emergency response teams at all levels will arrive at the designated location within 2 hours to standardize the implementation of on-site emergency disposal, and the disease control department will carry out the evaluation of the control effect in a timely manner.
According to reports, the 2021 Shanghai Public Health Incident Vector Biological Control Emergency Response Exercise was held near the Flower Expo Park in Chongming District, with more than 100 professional team members from 10 four-star or more PCO (pest control institutions) enterprises in Shencheng participating. According to the Shanghai Municipal Patriotic Health Office, the drill is mainly based on physical methods with biological agents, setting points in the early stage, finding key points through normalized inspections, and then carrying out grid disposal, organizing emergency inspections when abnormal situations are found, and forming regular inspection reports to feedback the Organizing Committee of the Flower Expo.
