In order to implement the "Yangtze River Protection Law" and promote the ecological restoration of the Youshui River Basin, in accordance with the requirements of the "one station, one policy" and the river chief system for cleaning up and rectifying small hydropower, on April 23, Longshan County organized aquatic germplasm breeding and stocking activities, and released 40,000 grass carp, carp, bighead carp and silver carp in the Wash River Bigfin Catfish National Aquatic Germplasm Resources Conservation Area. Nearly 50 people attended the event, including the Longshan County River Chief's Office, the Water Conservancy Bureau, the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Affairs Center, Hongyanxi Town, the Town of Wash river, the Xiaohe Power Station, the Car Wash River Power Station, and the Wudong Power Station.
It is reported that April to June is a critical period for the growth of aquatic organisms such as fish, and it is also a golden time to conserve aquatic biological resources. Carry out breeding and stocking activities to supplement the number of economic fish and rare aquatic species in the Youshui River Basin, aiming to maintain the diversity and balance of aquatic organisms, strengthen the protection of fishery resources, restore the water ecological environment of the river basin, practice the concept of "ecological priority and green development", and promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
In the next step, Longshan County will strengthen follow-up supervision, seize the opportunity of the 2021 series of special law enforcement actions of China 's (Longshan County) Fishery Administration Liangjian, strictly implement the complete ban on fishing in the Wash River Big Fin Catfish National Aquatic Germplasm Resources Conservation Area, and severely crack down on illegal fishing behaviors such as electricity, poisoning and fried fish to ensure the success of stocking.
