On the occasion of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, the TV drama "Red Flag Canal" created by our province was broadcast on the comprehensive channel of CCTV on October 17. In order to further strengthen the study and patriotism education of party history and vigorously inherit the spirit of the Red Flag Canal, on October 26, 2021, the party branch of Wanwang Primary School organized all party members to watch it intensively.
The main story of the TV series is that in the summer and autumn of 1959, a major drought ruthlessly engulfed LinXian County, the rivers and reservoirs dried up, the crops died in a large area, and the water used by people and livestock fell into extreme difficulties. Under the leadership of Yang Gui, secretary of the county party committee, a group of people in Linxian County was determined to completely change the water shortage dilemma of Linxian ancestors. After meticulous on-the-spot investigation, the county party committee decided to build the Hongqi Canal for the Project of Diverting Zhangzhang into the Forest, rearrange the rivers and mountains in Linxian County, and completely change the dilemma of the people in Linxian County since ancient times. Yang Guihe and a group of people from the county party committee led the people of Linxian County to overcome the many difficulties brought about by natural disasters, resisted the sneers of some people, and built the "Project of Attracting Zhangzhang into the Forest" with thousands of troops and horses, which lasted for ten years, and finally built an artificial Tianhe Red Flag Canal on the mountainside of Taihang.
