
Born in Wales, England, Edmund Gwen won the 20th Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Miracle on 34th Street.
By the beginning of the 20th century, he had become a well-known theater star, playing a variety of roles on the West End stage in London and the Broadway Theater in New York.
In 1916, he made his first film in Britain, and his representative works were "Good Partner", "Spring Dawn in Cuiti", "Journey to the South" and so on.
From the 1930s onwards, his films have increased dramatically, and he is known for his thick voice and soft tone.
He later settled in the United States, starting with Pride and Prejudice, becoming Hollywood's best actor.
