The classic animated film "Tianshu Qitan 4K Edition" produced by Shanghai Fine Arts Film Studio held its premiere at Shanghai Cinema Today.
"Tianshu Qitan" is adapted from the divine and demonic novel "The Legend of Ping Demon", which tells the story of Yuan Gong in the Heavenly Palace, in order to pass on the Book of Heaven to the human world, he taught the spell to The Egg Sheng, who fought with the three fox demons and bravely, endured hardships, regained the Book of Heaven, and benefited the people.
In the 1980s, under the initiative of "how to play and how to play to the extreme" put forward by Te Wei, the old director of Shanghai Fine Arts Film Studio, the general directors Wang Shuchen and Qian Yunda, the styling design Ke Ming, the composer Wu Yingju, the dubbing Ding Jianhua, Bi Ke, Su Xiu, Cheng Xiaohua, Shi Rong, Cao Lei, Shang Hua and other artists began a creative journey focusing on magic, fun and beauty. "Tianshu Qitan" also represents the peak level of China's domestic animation films together with the "Big Haunting Heavenly Palace" and "Nezha Noisy Sea" of the American Film Studio, and has also become a beautiful childhood memory of generations.
A few years ago, the Shanghai Fine Arts Film Studio started the restoration of classic films. The restoration team followed the principle of "repairing the old as old", while improving the clarity of the film, while retaining the brushstrokes and graininess of the original animation of the film to the greatest extent.
The restored "Tianshu Qitan" was unveiled at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2019, and now, the 4K restored version will be released nationwide on November 5. Qian Yunda, the co-director of the film and 93 years old this year, appeared at the premiere scene and sighed with emotion: "Pretty good! They have made a lot of efforts, it is not easy! Sometimes it's harder to fix than to do. Thank you very much for your affirmation of our film, this little thing we have done in the past has been recognized by everyone, very happy! ”
