From August 5 to 10, 1960, the first congress of the Communist Party of China in Longxian county was held after the Long (County) Qian (Yang) Hexian County. There were 164 delegates attending the congress, 26 people absent, 45 non-voting delegates, representing 4216 party members in the county.
