Haidong City, alias "River Huangjian" and "Haizang Throat",
It is named after its location east of Qinghai Lake.
Located in the northeast of Qinghai Province,
The southern foothills of Dabanshan Mountain, a tributary of Qilian Mountain, and the eastern slope of The Kunlun Mountain System,
It belongs to the mosaic zone of the transition from the Loess Plateau to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
It is connected to Xining City, Haibei Prefecture and Huangnan Prefecture, and borders Gansu Province.
The total area of the city is 13,200 square kilometers, and the population is less than 1.36 million.
