On January 22, 2021, the General Office of the State Council issued the Notice on Several Policy Measures to Accelerate the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristics. Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, remarkable achievements have been made in the reform and development of traditional Chinese medicine. After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Chinese medicine has fully participated in the prevention and control of the epidemic and made important contributions. Darendo is an authentic descendant of the 300-year-old "Lejia Old Shop", which is deeply admired by the people for its medicinal authenticity and concoction. As a protection unit of three national intangible cultural heritage projects, Darentang actively disseminates the culture of traditional Chinese medicine, is committed to the popularization of traditional Chinese medicine culture to young people, and deepens the intangible cultural heritage into the campus. The "Four Hours of Materia Medica - Daren Chinese Medicine Culture Campus Tour" was sponsored by the Business School of Nankai University, Tianjin Zhongxin Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. Darentang Pharmaceutical Factory, and supported by Tianjin Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center. The exhibition takes the drug preparation of the national intangible cultural heritage project protection unit "Darentang" as the research object, upholds an objective, scientific and respectful attitude, and through the combing of the 24 solar terms of Daren medicine and the comparison of the 24 flavors of the ancient books of Materia Medica with the physical object, the creative transformation and innovative development are introduced, so that the majority of teachers and students can understand the common knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine that runs through the life of the Chinese through the exhibition, and experience the traditional Chinese medicine production techniques such as "hitting gold poke", "wrapping gold clothes" and "rubbing honey pills" on the spot. Let the teachers and students of Nankai University personally experience the infinite charm of Chinese medicine culture. Invited by the Tianjin Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, the Chinese flower arrangement art, the traditional handmade incense of Hezhen, the jasmine tea kiln making technique of YuanXiang Hongji, and the guqin art also actively participate in the Campus Tour of Dalian GuoYao Culture to jointly create the overall atmosphere of Chinese life and lead young people to pay attention to the construction of traditional Chinese culture.
The exhibition will be held on May 6 in the second main building of Nankai University and will last until the 20th of this month. At the launching ceremony, the Business School of Nankai University awarded the honorary title of "Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Education Practice Base" to Tianjin Sino-Singapore Pharmaceutical Darentang Pharmaceutical Factory, and launched the "Darentang in My Eyes" short video contest at Nankai University to popularize and disseminate intangible cultural heritage knowledge, improve the awareness of young people on Chinese medicine culture, and attract young people to participate in the protection of intangible cultural heritage.
This exhibition will also serve as an exploration for the Tianjin Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center to promote general education classes into colleges and universities, and continuously promote the dissemination and popularization of intangible cultural heritage and the integration and development of college education.
