Three heads and six arms, originally a more popular saying, gives people a feeling of roughness, not elegant enough. But when we look at this couplet, we don't feel rough at all, but we feel very elegant and very artistic.
The upper link said that the head was sleeping in the wind and snow, and the lower link said that the scenery was visited in the landscape, which were very poetic life and scenes, not only writing scenes and writing things, but also writing out the spirit. This couplet is a famous couplet written by Xue Shiyu of the Qing Dynasty in Suzhou Canglang Pavilion. Canglang Pavilion was first rebuilt by Su Shunqin in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Canglang Pavilion was owned by Han Shizhong, a famous anti-Jin general. Therefore, Canglang Pavilion can be said to be a collection of literary and martial arts rhymes, and is quite famous in history.
Xue Shiyu's couplet, the upper couplet uses the technique of contrast, comparing the Canglang Pavilion and Du Fu Caotang, reflecting the important position of the Canglang Pavilion in the cultural circles. Hundred Flowers Pond, referring to Du Fu Caotang, and cleverly pointed out the Canglang Pavilion. "The wind and currents of the ten thousand miles are too dangerous", also from Du Fu's poem: "The heavenly water and autumn clouds are thin, and the wind is from the west wanli." "It can be said that there is a one-to-one correspondence with the upper league, and the battle is quite neat." Dust can be mao", then use the familiar "Song of the Waves": "The water of the waves is clear, you can muddy me; the water of the waves is muddy, you can muddy my feet." ”

This couplet is a couplet written by Zheng Banqiao, a great talent of the Qing Dynasty, similar to the existence of a motto. As we all know, Zheng Banqiao is one of the eight monsters of Yangzhou, and he is more detached and "rarely confused". But in terms of praise and insults, Zheng Banqiao has a sharp point of view.
From this couplet, it can be seen that Zheng Banqiao believes that if it is a praise that does not praise the main points, it is completely an overflowing word, and there is no need to listen to the ear at all. It's like if you scored 100 points in the Chinese language test, and others praised you for your good math, and you couldn't praise the idea but croaked, which is not a compliment to you at all, but an insult to you.
The lower link is Zheng Banqiao's incisive view of "scolding". Zheng Banqiao believes that if others really scold accurately and find out your profound shortcomings, then other people's scolding is worthy of good reflection, but it is a great help.
Therefore, this couplet is not only neat and tidy, but also reflects the mind of Zheng Banqiao, which makes people talk about it. It is said that in 1931, a scholar planned to write a book "On Lu Xun" and ask Lu Xun for advice, and Lu Xun wrote "Scratching the itch in the boots and praising He Yi; entering the wood three points and scolding also fine" as a reply. It can be seen that Lu Xun is more in agreement with Zheng Banqiao's attitude toward "exaggeration" and "scolding."
4th couplet: The sky will be full of a full moon; the world is still a hundred years old.
