To commemorate the 127th anniversary of Mao Zedong's birth, on the morning of December 25, an exhibition of Wang Xingping's oil paintings opened at the Dunfu Academy in Kaifeng. Wang Yingjie, president of Kaifeng Dunfu Academy and president of Dunfu Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, Liu Zhizhi, professor and calligrapher of Henan University, Yang Hui, vice chairman of Kaifeng Calligraphers Association, Qiu Xinhe, vice chairman of Kaifeng Calligraphers Association and executive president of Dunfu Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, Wang Mingyi, president of Kaifeng Sanhuai College, Yang Xiaohui, chairman of Songzhidu Cultural Industrial Park, and Sun Zhiling, chairman of Kaifeng Distilled Immortal Liquor Co., Ltd., attended the opening ceremony, and more than 100 guests from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony. Wang Mingyi presided over the opening ceremony.
In his speech, Wang Xingping said that the creation of Chairman Mao's oil paintings is my lifelong wish, and the purpose of holding this oil painting exhibition is to commemorate Chairman Mao's great achievements; second, to "never forget the original heart and keep in mind the mission", to achieve the "two centenary goals of struggle", and to provide spiritual impetus for the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Wang Xingping said that the oil painting exhibition exhibited a total of 50 portraits and 20 calligraphy works of Mao Zedong's poetry and calligraphy in different periods and stages. He also introduced his creative journey, overcame various difficulties, and finally showed Mao Zedong's solemn and calm style as a great power leader to the world.
At the opening ceremony, Wang Yingjie and Qiu Xinhe delivered speeches one after another, congratulating the smooth opening of the oil painting exhibition and paying tribute to Wang Xingping's meticulous artistic attitude. Subsequently, the participating calligraphers and painters splashed ink and jointly launched a calligraphy and painting meeting to commemorate the 127th anniversary of Mao Zedong's birth.
It is understood that Wang Xingping, born in 1954, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Henan University in 1988, a member of the Artists Association of the Ministry of Petroleum, a member of the Calligraphers Association, a member of the Henan Provincial Artists Association, a member of the Gansu Provincial Artists Association, a member of the Kaifeng Artists Association, and served as the vice president of China Sanhuai Academy and the vice president of the Kaifeng Dunfu Calligraphy and Painting Research Association. He is not only fond of the creation of great portraits, but also good at the creation of Chinese paintings, landscapes, flowers and birds are both shaped and divine, lifelike, with a high artistic standard.
