According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency reported on October 1, Mizuho Bank released a message on September 30 that the remittance processing of 387 foreign exchange transactions was delayed due to system failures. Of these, 309 are expected to be processed on the 30th, and the remaining 78 are expected to be extended to October 1.

According to the report, Mizuho Bank said that the business on the 1st was not hindered. This is the 8th failure this year. On September 22, the bank was given a business rectification order by the Japanese Financial Services Agency, which was carrying out inspections, due to frequent system failures. The FSA said it would "first try to grasp the status quo" and had asked Mizuho to report based on the Banking Act.

It is reported that Mizuho Bank had a total of seven system failures that affected customers from February to early September. In February, a series of working automatic cash machine (ATM) deactivations caused cash cards and passbooks to be swallowed. In March, foreign exchange remittances were delayed due to machine failure.
