Wrinkled-winged white-spotted mochiboa is mainly distributed in the United States and Canada, can breed 1 to 2 generations a year, the larvae hatch after moths eat phloem and forming layers, adults feather in summer, eat the branch cortex, causing branch death and redness. At present, there is no distribution of this kind of quarantine pest in China, and once introduced, it is very likely to have a major destructive impact on China's forestry resources and ecological environment. At present, the goods have been fumigated, and the risk of epidemic has been eliminated.

Not long ago, the port has just intercepted another subspecies of the dense-haired white-spotted ink cow, and it is also the first interception in the country. According to the "Directory of Quarantine Pests of Imported Plants", Motianniu (non-Chinese species) are quarantine pests, Taicang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau staff introduced, summer is the peak period of Motianniu feathering adult insects, Taicang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau recently for the first consecutive consecutive national first interception of quarantine Motianniu, indicating that the risk of related epidemics is high, worthy of attention from all ports, strengthen quarantine prevention and control.
