In 2012, a farmer's house in Pingguo County, Baise City, Guangxi Province, had just thrown off its hat as a state-level poverty-stricken county. In this year, the archaeological team of the Guangxi Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology came to Pingguo County to excavate "ancient stone carvings", and the differences between the archaeological community and the local government on the authenticity of the stone carvings emerged and continue to this day. A stone block inscribed with strange symbols has sprung up in Pingguo City, Guangxi Province, in the past 15 years. From the size of copper coins to the size of skateboards, there are different shapes, a total of six or seven hundred pieces. The symbols on them dazzled the locals and sparked disagreement among experts. People call this kind of stone carving "Gansang stone carving".
A farmer's inadvertent discovery triggered a treacherous upheaval for the next 15 years. From Guangxi to Beijing, collectors, "folk sciences", archaeologists, as well as various scientific research institutions and officials at all levels have been involved. Some people think it is absurd, while others think that neighboring Vietnam is also secretly collecting and researching, "it is related to our territorial security and cultural security." Li Junzhen, director of the United Front Work Department of the Pingguo Municipal CPC Committee, firmly believes.
Until now, various theories about the "Gansang Stone Carving" are still circulating in this small city in Guangxi. Ordinary people in Pingguo may occasionally hear about it, but they cannot distinguish between authenticity and falsity; the officials who are in it are happy to see it constantly "emerging"; the archaeologists who know the authenticity the most are too small to be heard.
The cultural influence and economic prospects that the "Gansang Stone Carving" can bring have local officials sweating for it; the lies and absurdities it carries have also humiliated and resented archaeologists in Guangxi.
<h3>Stone carvings "Advent"</h3>
In 2011, the Luoyue Cultural Research Association contacted the leadership team of Pingguo County (which had not yet been dismantled at that time).
The old city of Pingguo County was the seat of Zhaicheng Mountain in The Ming Dynasty, and Nong Minjian, then chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Pingguo County, and Luo Hantian, a researcher at the Institute of Ethnic Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (both from Guangxi), met at the end of that year to discuss the holding of a "Walled City Mountain History and Culture Forum" to promote the history and culture of Pingguo Walled Mountain.
According to Luo Hantian's recollection, Nong Minjian had previously seen an article written by Xie Shouqiu, president of the "Luoyue Cultural Research Association", on the Internet about walled city mountain, so he managed to contact Xie Shouqiu and invite him to participate in the symposium. The "Luo Yue Culture Research Association" is a non-governmental organization that studies the "Luo Yue Kingdom" and its culture, and the Luo Yue State is an ancient country in the legendary southwest of China, and the academic community has not yet determined whether it exists or not.
On December 19, 2011, Xie Shouqiu came to Pingguo at the invitation of Nong Minjian and brought four other people— a cultural relics appraisal expert who is said to be the "Luo Yue Cultural Research Association"; "the other three are doctors who claim to be able to cure diabetes, stomach cancer, liver cancer and other cancers, one of whom is feng Haihua, who also engages in cultural relics collection." Luo Hantian said.
But the purpose of Xie Shouqiu's visit is obviously not to attend any symposium, and he has more important "discoveries." The five of them took Nong Minjian and Luo Hantian straight to the "destination" he had chosen. Along the way, Xie Shouqiu showed Luo Hantian his discovery. It turned out that he had recently purchased some stone tablets engraved with characters from collector Feng Haihua. "They couldn't understand those words, so they brought them to Nanning for me to identify, and as soon as I looked at them, I could see that they were ancient Luo Yue script." What a big discovery! Unfortunately, I was strapped for money, so I spent three thousand dollars with them. I have deciphered one of these three pieces, and the inscription on that piece reads, 'Twelve female captives, Ji'. In Luo Hantian's recollection, Xie Shouqiu looked mysterious and quite excited.
These stone tablets with characters engraved are the "Gansang Stone Carvings" that were later widely known in the local area.
The source of the stone pieces is in a small mountain village in Matou Town, a suburb of Pingguo County, named Gansang, also known as Gansang in Guxian Zhili.
Many local people interviewed by Southern Weekend reporters traced the story of the discovery of stone carvings back to the Qingming Festival in 2006. At that time, Pan Rongguan, a local youth, went home to visit the grave, and when he washed his hands by the stream on the way, he stumbled upon a stone tablet with characters engraved on it. "Pan Rongguan is a man who rarely speaks. When he was in the third grade of elementary school, he fell seriously ill and recovered a life, and his personality has changed greatly since then. At such an old age now, my wife doesn't please me, she doesn't look at people squarely, and she hardly talks to people. Yang Caiquan, a villager, told Southern Weekend reporters. Pan Rongguan is currently working in Guangdong.
The story of the discovery of the stone carvings was later spread. According to the villagers' recollections, at first, everyone did not know Pan Rongguan's "discovery" and "he didn't tell us this." Yang Caiquan said. In this story, from 2006 to 2011, since the discovery of the first stone carving, Pan Rongguan has been quietly rummaging and collecting in the nearby fields. In 2011, Luo Hantian asked him how many pieces he had collected, "more than twenty pieces." His answer was "a bit of a bummer."
In 2011, Pan Rongguan took the stone carving to the Antique Market of Bose to sell, and met the aforementioned Feng Haihua, who was also a member of the "Luo Yue Cultural Research Association" and was obviously inextricably linked to Xie Shouqiu. Xie Shouqiu soon became involved, circling between Pingguo County and several "collectors".
Xie Shouqiu tried his best to prove that he knew this kind of stone carving very well, in fact, in 2011, he took Nong Minjian to Gansang, which was his first time in the village. Luo Hantian recalled that Xie Shouqiu "pointed to this and that, ran up and down", "one will report to everyone that an ancient kiln site has been newly discovered, one will lead everyone to see the newly discovered watershed; one will conclude that this is an ancient altar, and one will infer that it is the site of the ancient city."
After seeing the "ruins" of Gansang and returning to the county, Feng Haihua said that he already had more than two dozen stone carvings on hand, which he had spent more than 30,000 yuan to buy, and he hoped that the government could spend the same money to buy from him. Wei Zhengye, then the county magistrate of Pingguo County, also observed this batch of "cultural relics" with Nong Minjian.
At the same time, Xie Shouqiu explained to the leaders of Pingguo County the great value of these cultural relics: "I have studied the ancient texts of the Two Rivers Valley, ancient Egypt, and our country's Yin Shang and pre-Qin periods. The writing on these stone chips is the ancient Luoyue script. The value of these cultural relics for the in-depth study of Luo Yue culture is very great, and you must not show your interests and forget righteousness, sell these things to cultural relics dealers, and never let these things be lost abroad. ”
Since it was impossible to determine the authenticity of these stone carvings for a while, County Governor Wei Zhengye immediately instructed the relevant personnel of the Cultural Management Office to register them by number, keep them in a unified and proper manner, and invite experts and scholars from relevant professions inside and outside the autonomous region to appraise them as soon as possible. Huang Wuzhi, director of the Pingguo County Cultural Management Office (now the Pingguo City Museum), who was present at the time, recalled the incident to a Southern Weekend reporter.
That night, the Matou Town police station sent out cadres and policemen to surround the stone carving. Pingguo is located in the mountains of Guangxi, and the night in December is wet and cold, "It is so cold that so many brothers are squatting on the mountain to suffer, if those stone chips are fake, then we really can't account for it." Luo Hantian still remembered what Nong Minjian had said to him.

<h3>"You can't lie to us archaeologists."</h3>
In order to find out the authenticity, Nong Minjian and Luo Hantian rushed to Beijing on December 20, 2011 with four clearly written stone carvings.
The first they found were two Experts from Guangxi, Li Jinfang and Liang Tingwang, professors at the Minzu University of China. Liang Tingwang has made great achievements in the study of ethnic minority literature, especially Zhuang literature, and Li Jinfang is a professor in the department of ethnic languages and literatures at the university, majoring in linguistics — neither of them is an expert in cultural relics, archaeology or ancient scripts.
Liang Tingwang and Li Jinfang both believe that these stone carvings are of great significance, and may be "carved texts left by the ancient Yue people in the Spring and Autumn Warring States Period", but they also admit that they are not experts, and "need expert research and demonstration of multiple disciplines including archaeology and ancient texts".
The same advice came from other experts, Ding Shoupu, a researcher at the Institute of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said the same thing to them after looking at the stone carvings: "Please ask some people to look at it again, especially to invite experts and scholars in archaeology and paleography to identify." ”
Zhao Liming, a professor of linguistics at Tsinghua University, and Yao Qinjun, a water book expert from Libo County, Guizhou Province, said it was like a "water book"; the initial feedback from experts from the Institute of Ancient Books of Bijie City, Guizhou Province, and the Ethnic Language Committee of Yunnan Province was like ancient Yi... Experts from all walks of life are at odds.
But experts in cultural relics, archaeology or ancient writings, "we have not found it in Beijing," Luo Hantian admitted to southern weekend reporters, "so I have always doubted its authenticity in my heart." ”
The turning point came after archaeologists intervened. In March 2012, Pingguo County allocated more than one million yuan to officially carry out archaeological excavations in Gansang Village. They invited an archaeological team from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology in Nanning, led by Qin Fang, a researcher at the institute.
Villager Yang Caiquan was also hired to participate in the excavation, and she recalled to southern weekend reporters that two tunnels 91 meters long and about 1.5 meters wide were dug at that time, and 1.6 meters deep. At first, nothing was found, only a small number of Song and Yuan copper coins and ceramic fragments were unearthed.
"Suddenly one day, I dug up a piece." Yang Caiquan was the first hired villager to dig up the stone carving, and now when she talks about this matter, she is still very excited.
Unlike Yang Caiquan's excitement, Qin Fang was alert and chose to call the police immediately. "The formations are disturbed, and what has been unearthed is not credible!" Nearly ten years have passed, and Qin Fang's tone is still cut to the point. This was followed by the "unearthing" of seven more stone carvings, but Qin Fang insisted that someone had artificially destroyed the archaeological site.
Zheng Chaoxiong, a researcher at the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum, was also at the archaeological site at the time, and he fully agreed with Qin Fang's judgment. "That is obviously a forgery, because the mud stained by the stone piece is the mud in the paddy field, blue-gray, pasted together, the soil around us is earth red, should have just taken the mud and glued it with this stone, you deceived us archaeology (workers) is not deceived, obviously fake, and then reported to the police." Zheng Chaoxiong told Southern Weekend reporters.
"The archaeological site was unguarded at night and was not monitored at that time." Yang Caiquan mentioned this detail in his narration.
For the archaeological site, the consequences of the formation being artificially disturbed were so severe that the archaeological team felt openly insulted. "We didn't write an archaeological report later, it's impossible to write." Qin Fang told Southern Weekend reporters. But who did it, the Pingguo County Public Security Bureau's investigation has been inconclusive for 9 years.
The counterfeiting incident at the archaeological site poured a basin of cold water on the head of the "Gansang Stone Carving Fever". "In our archaeology, the source must be clear, the source is not clear, this is the most fatal", Zheng Chaoxiong explained from the perspective of archaeology why other stone carvings are not credible: "The location of the discovery is unknown, no one knows the specific location of the discovery, it is not clear." Pan Rongguan said that he found it in Gansang, but only he found it, and no one else found it. Then the archaeological team went, carpet searching, and for months it couldn't find any of them. The eight pieces dug up were still fake. ”
Under the cloud of suspicion of counterfeiting, Pingguo County is still promoting research on it. In mid-June 2012, the Pingguo County government sent a letter to the Department of Culture of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, proposing a report on the "Gansang Stone Character Expert Seminar" held in Pingguo County from July 5 to 9. However, the autonomous region stopped further publicity and research on the "Gansang Stone Carvings." On June 20, the Autonomous Region Department of Culture made the following reply to the report of Pingguo County: "Please contact the Cultural Relics Department to contact Pingguo County to see the preparations." If it is not prepared, it can be slowed down. ”
The 8 stone tablets "unearthed" and the 24 pieces collected from Feng Haihua's hands were collected into the warehouse of the Cultural Management Office, becoming an embarrassing memory of the small city.

<h3>"Major Deciphering"</h3>
The farce that seems to have been "the big ending" has been staged in 2019 and has continued to this day.
In the past few years, Pingguo County has been upgraded to Pingguo City, and the local cultural management office has been adjusted to a museum. All kinds of "people with hearts" around the "Gansang Stone Carving", and launched a real and false wrestling.
This time, because of the "Gansang Stone Carving", almost the entire Guangxi archaeological community broke with Pingguo City. The Guangxi archaeological community collectively boycotted the seminar on stone carvings held by the Pingguo municipal government, while the latter tried to bypass the former and create a greater public opinion momentum for the "Gansang stone carvings". The non-governmental organization "Luo Yue Cultural Research Association" once again went to the toilet and ran back and forth.
In the leadership of Pingguo City, Nong Minjian has already ignored this matter, and now the working group that is enthusiastically creating momentum for the "Gansang Stone Carving" is led and commanded by Li Junquan, director of the United Front Work Department of the Pingguo Municipal CPC Committee, and Yang Jianjian, secretary of the Party Committee of the Pingguo City University Park Working Committee.
This round of new enthusiasm for "Gansang Stone Carvings" in Pingguo City began with the "major deciphering" of Huang Yilu, a researcher at the Zhuang Dong Institute of the Central University for Nationalities, in 2019.
In 2018, Huang Yilu saw the stone carvings that Nong Minjian had sent to Beijing on the mobile phone of his colleague Li Jinfang. He judged them to be significant.
"In Beijing, I told others that this matter is very important, and the sky is very important. But some experts in Beijing said to me, 'Your words, east and west, are not coherent'. Where it was incoherent, I deciphered the entire article. He said confidently to Southern Weekend reporters.
Since 2018, Huang Yilu has traveled to Pingguo and nearby counties and cities at his own expense, collected more than 400 such stone carvings, and after less than a year of research, using methods such as "Digital I Ching" (an ancient technique that Huang Yilu believes is very advanced), he completed the 600-700-page "Luo Yue History", and made the following decipherment of the stone carvings:
"The King of Shang, who broke through and moved south, became the first generation of Luo Yue King. They regarded Gansang as their second hometown after the Central Plains. After 115 days of work, the migrating Luoyue people reached an agreement with the local indigenous Xi'ou people on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival in August, and held an alliance celebration on August 18... Before 3119, this year belonged to the noon year, and it was also the fourth year of the reign of the King of Luo Yue after the King of Shang broke through and moved south to establish the State of Luo Yue, and on the first day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, the Qiang people sent troops to attack the State of Luo Yue, and the King of Luo Yue raised a ring and led the people to defend the country. King Luo Yue was unfortunately poisoned by an arrow, and the treatment was ineffective, causing death, and he fell into the ground at the beginning of the month. Before dying, he warned his people that they should spend 300 days a year on a big boat to patrol the rivers and seas, even if there is only one person left, they must take root and grow here, and build Gansang..."
In 2019, Huang Yilu took the initiative to find the leader of Pingguo City, with a confident tone and a resolute attitude: "Your thing is very important!" I've read part of the text. My book is going to be published, and you're going to have a workshop. This is the scene that Huang Yilu repeated to the Southern Weekend reporter.
Minister Li Junzhen and Huang Yilu saw each other as they were, and he quickly set up a working group to promote the matter. "The facts are there, there must be no problem!" In the face of the skeptical eyes of the Southern Weekend reporter, he enlightened: "We must jump out of the rules and regulations of archaeology." Can archaeologists recognize these words? I don't believe it. I believe in Huang Yilu, and I firmly believe that this thing is real. Why superstitious about certain archaeologists? ”
Under the strong impetus of Li Junzhen, the publicity and research of "Gansang Stone Carvings" has once again become one of the focuses of Pingguo City's cultural work. First, the collection of stone carvings was launched again – Pan Rongguan claimed that he had more than a hundred other pieces in the collection, which was "persuaded" to be donated to the Pingguo City Museum, "now there are 187 pieces in the museum." Huang Wuzhi said.
Other newly collected stone carvings are preserved in the Pingguo University Park, where Yang Mingli is located. Yang Jili showed several of them to the Southern Weekend reporter, "On November 2, 2020, we also requisitioned four pieces. After the experts have identified it, we will ask for it. The big one, the shouting price is more than 100,000, and finally the price is reduced to 80,000, which is also Chairman Liang's help to reduce the price. Yang Jili told the Southern Weekend reporter that the chairman he called Liang Yingwu was Liang Yingwu, chairman of the Pingguo City Literary Association — "coincidentally," Liang Yingwu was also a member of the Luoyue Cultural Research Association. And the "identification expert" he calls is Huang Yilu.
Li Junzhen is still pushing for a second dig. There is a story circulating in several nearby villages: Before he died, an old man told his son that he had once entered a cave in a certain mountain and handed out a stone tablet full of words, but he had forgotten where the cave was. After the old man died, his son searched in many ways and did not find the cave. According to Yang Caiquan, Li Junzhen is mobilizing villagers to find the cave. "If only I could find that cave." If I can't find it, I'd like to dig it up again in that field. Li Junzhen said.
"If the people of the Guangxi archaeological team don't dig, how do you ensure the standardization of archaeological excavation?" Southern Weekend reporter asked. "I asked someone from the Baise Museum to dig it." Li Junzhen said.

<h3>"It is of great significance to the history of world civilization."</h3>
Under the impetus of Li Junzhen, the "seminar" that had been stopped was restarted. On July 10, 2019, the "Pingguo County Gansang Stone Inscription Academic Seminar and Phased Research Achievement Exhibition" sponsored by the Institute of Zhuang Dong Studies of minzu University of China, the People's Government of Pingguo County, Guangxi, and Guangxi Baise College was held in Pingguo. The official press release said that "this is the first meeting to officially interpret the Gansang stone inscription since the discovery of the Gansang stone inscription in 2006, and it is also a profound and important meeting of far-reaching significance."
Huang Yilu, the protagonist of the conference, published his latest deciphering research. Also attending the meeting were Li Sheng, director of the Frontier History and Geography Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Liang Tingwang, former vice president of the Central University for Nationalities, and many other experts. Li Junzhen's mobile phone kept some of the expert speeches of the conference. In the video, a calligrapher named Huang Jun looked confused and spoke in a high-pitched voice: "The Gansang stone carvings are of great significance to the history of Chinese civilization and even the history of world civilization!" I think that this place of Pingguo, the capital of the ancient Yue Kingdom, will affect the whole world..."
According to Li Junzhen's relay to the Southern Weekend reporter, after reading Huang Yilu's huge work "The History of Luo Yue", he once told him that "Huang Yilu is a genius." But the Southern Weekend reporter asked Li Sheng to verify the matter, and Li Sheng said: "I really didn't see it, I was busy, that is not my academic focus." I just hosted him, we ate together, talked a little, he introduced the situation, I didn't read his book specifically, he gave me a copy. ”
This "far-reaching" meeting has made the popularity of the "Gansang Stone Carving" rise steadily. The eight stone carvings that were "unearthed" seven years ago have returned to people's sights — Li Junzhen felt the need to make a carbon 14 dating for them.
According to the two test reports obtained by the Southern Weekend reporter, the person specifically responsible for sending the stone carvings for inspection is Huang Wuzhi, and the units sent for inspection are the Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Laboratory of Peking University and the Karst Geological Resources and Environment Supervision and Testing Center of the Ministry of Land and Resources in Guilin, Guangxi, and the time given in the test reports is September 7, 2020 and April 10, 2020, respectively.
According to the carbon-14 detection method, the beijing report gives the age of the detected object is 6570 years ago (±40) years ago, and the report in Guilin is 5550 (±70) years ago. It appears to be very old, however, the report states that the object was a shell excavated at the same time, not the stone carving itself.
Due to the technical difficulties in carbon-14 identification of the stone carvings themselves, the general practice is to detect the co-organisms in the same formation as the excavated objects. And these shells that are detected are not the same stratigraphic symbiosis carved in stone.
"Eight stone carvings were found on the sixth floor. The shells for the assay are in the fourth and fifth layers. There is no symbiotic in the sixth layer, and it is difficult to do carbon-14 determination. Huang Wuzhi admitted to southern weekend reporters.
The symbiosis of different strata cannot be used to determine the age, and the stratigraphic problems of the stone carvings themselves are also suspicious as mentioned above. "I don't believe in this test." Qin Fang said. The entire Guangxi archaeological community, led by Qin Fang, collectively boycotted the 2019 symposium, and "not a single one of us went to participate."
Qin Fang thought of another method for measuring traces in the field of stone tool research- micro-trace analysis. In order to explore the truth, Qin Fang contacted Chen Hong, associate professor of the Department of Archaeology and Literature of Zhejiang University, and commissioned her team to conduct micro-trace analysis of the Gansang stone carvings. "Micro-trace analysis is the analysis of microscopic traces, and its principle is similar to trace analysis in forensic science, that is, to analyze how this trace is formed, or the order in which it is formed. We do not determine the age, but we can point out what traces are suspected to have been carved by something. Chen Hong explained to the Southern Weekend reporter.
"The appraisal certificate from Zhejiang University said that this thing was engraved later." Qin Fang said.
Paleographers questioned the stone carvings from another angle. "I think it's a fake." Guo Yongbing, a professor at the Research Center for Excavated Documents and Paleography at Fudan University, carefully looked at the photos of the Gansang stone carvings provided by the Southern Weekend reporter and said: "For example, above this one, the upper left one is the shape of the 'gong' character pictogram that is generally considered in the oracle bone gold text (this part is below the palace character), but the Buddhist 'swastika' symbol appears in the lower right, and the writing method with a circle outside this 'swastika' is the new word 'moon' in the Wu Zetian period, and the era is completely confused." (Figure 1)
"Another example is these four words, the upper left is the "You" character written after the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, which has not been seen before. The other three are oracle glyphs. Obviously, it's all a patchwork and a haphazard carving. Guo Yongbing called the cultural relics "one-eyed fake."
In Figure 1 (left), the glyphs in the oracle bone are mixed with the new characters created during the Wu Zetian period. In Figure 2 (right), the upper left is the "You" character writing after the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, while the other three are the glyphs of the oracle bone. Guo Yongbing believes that they are obviously the product of a patchwork and a random engraving. (Southern Weekend reporter Wang Huazhen/photo)
<h3>"Hand of God"</h3>
Li Junzhen did not believe in these experts, he believed in other experts. For experts who held different opinions, Li Junzhen began to persuade him. "Experts in Guangxi have problems with their minds and ideological understanding. They have different opinions and conservative thinking, mainly for these reasons: their ideological understanding is not in place, they do not recognize the great value of this matter; they do not have a sense of the overall situation; they follow the trend and believe what others say. Li Junzhen analyzed.
He intends to crack down on the experts one by one, "one by one to persuade them..." As for the way to persuade them, "we must jump out of the rules of archaeology." Li Junzhen once again stressed this sentence to the Southern Weekend reporter.
Outside of the "rules and regulations of archaeology", Zheng Chaoxiong once again felt that he had been deceived. On December 6, 2020, Zheng Chaoxiong was invited by Li Junzhen to go to Pingguo City again to investigate the issue of Gansang stone carvings. "Even if it is false, I still want a basis for being ugly", with such an idea, Zheng Chaoxiong accepted the invitation.
On December 6, 2020, Li Junzhen and Yang Jianli accompanied Zheng Chaoxiong to carefully inspect the entire mountain pass where the stone carvings were found, accompanied by Liang Yingwu, chairman of the Pingguo Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature.
The scenery in Gansang Village is still the same, but the original archaeological excavation tunnel has been filled. The small mountain pass overgrown with wild grass was once the place where Xie Shouqiu pointed out as an altar and a city wall...
Halfway through the mountain road, Liang Yingwu suddenly shouted in surprise: "Come and see what I have found!" Zheng Chaoxiong hurried over to see that it was a stone piece half the size of a palm, on which was carved a strange character - another "Gansang Stone Carving".
"Chairman Liang, come and fool me, put it down yourself and pick it up again." Zheng Chaoxiong told the Southern Weekend reporter about his psychological activities at that time, and the intuition of archaeologists made him feel that this thing must be false. At that time, Zheng Chaoxiong asked Liang Yingwu: "There is no dust at all, it is clean, if this thing is here for such a long time, thousands of years, kicking and bumping on the surface, there must be bumps on the edges, not so neat." ”
"I swear to heaven." Liang Yingwu firmly denied it. So Zheng Chaoxiong said to the others: "There is a major discovery, let's take pictures." "He silently observed the expressions of the men." I saw no excitement on everyone's face. Under normal circumstances, there is such a big discovery, it is certain to jump up with joy, but no one has an extremely happy expression. Zheng Chaoxiong once again felt insulted, "they collectively came to insult me."
In the evening, everyone sat around to eat, and Zheng Chaoxiong finally couldn't hold back. "I don't say no, because I took a group photo," Zheng Chaoxiong told Southern Weekend reporters that he could not endorse the fraud, "I am an expert, I can't let them humiliate me." ”
"Since everyone wants me to investigate, why are you doing this for me?" Zheng Chaoxiong recalled asking at the dinner table, "I'm older, more than seventy years old, I don't play with you so much." "No one at the dinner table said a word.
Zheng Chaoxiong told the story of Shinichi Fujimura, a Japanese "archaeologist" who once shocked the world. In 1975, archaeologist Shinichi Fujimura began archaeological excavations in the Gangagawa River Basin in Miyagi Prefecture. Over the next 25 years, an archaeological team led by Fujimura discovered a large number of Paleolithic sites with great efficiency. Their discoveries caused a sensation in the Field of Japanese Archaeology and Ancient Historiography, directly rewriting the prehistory of Japan, and Fujimura is also known as the "Hand of God" in the Field of Japanese Archaeology.
In 2000, Fujimura's forgery was revealed, and the Japanese media discovered that he had not falsified it occasionally, but had systematically falsified almost all archaeological findings. Affected by this, in the past 25 years, almost all of Japan's Paleolithic studies based on his "archaeological achievements" have lost their value, and the energy expended by an entire generation of Japanese scholars has been wasted, the relics that were previously included in the state have been revoked, and even textbooks have to be changed back...
Zheng Chaoxiong believes that archaeology is the "first pass" of all other research, if the first pass is unknown, any subsequent interpretation, decipherment, and research is of no value.
But so-called research writings are already endless. According to the statistics of Southern Weekend reporters, in addition to Huang Yilu's "tome", there are also Professor Ban Bi of Jinan University", "Gansang Stone Inscription Character Collection" (2013), and Professor Li Zhiqiang of Baise College", "Pingguo County Gansang Stone Inscription Image Narrative Facsimile and Character Set" (2018). "The materials he uses are all fake." Referring to these books, Zheng Chaoxiong said, "Without recognized archaeological dating, this kind of thing you can't study and can't do." ”
Li Junzhen's goal is not only to study and carry forward the Gansang stone carvings, his ultimate goal is to declare the World Cultural Heritage. He wrote the material to his superiors, but when the material reached the autonomous region, it was refuted because the experts in the district did not approve of it. "Can you write an internal reference report to the Central Committee in the name of your newspaper?" Now the situation of the people is not conducive to the protection of development, to come to a top-level design! He said eagerly to Southern Weekend reporters. The financial budget for this stone carving in 2021 is more than six million yuan. Yang Agile revealed to southern weekend reporters.
On March 13, 2021, another seminar on gansang stone carvings was successfully held in Pingguo City. Luo Cheng, mayor of Pingguo Municipal People's Government, Li Junzhen, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and director of the United Front Work Department, and Huang Ping, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, director of the Propaganda Department and vice mayor of the Municipal People's Government, attended the seminar. Mayor Luo Cheng demanded at the meeting, "All relevant departments should establish a sense of the overall situation, and the Gansang stone inscription research project must establish and improve the management system and protection mechanism, enhance the protection ability, promote the construction of cultural relics protection projects, and effectively protect and make good use of historical and cultural heritage resources; we must strive for the support of the higher levels as soon as possible to raise the work of the Gansang stone inscription research project to the autonomous region and the national level." ”
Southern Weekend reporter Wang Huazhen
