Pet Atlas: Norwegian Terrier

In early 20th-century England, Frank Jones developed a new dog breed in the Hapagrov and Rockies areas of Cambridge, using local working terriers, which was recognized as a Rockies Terrier by the English Kennel Association in 1932. At first, they all varied between them in terms of type, body type, color, coat, and ear shape. Thereafter, the Lovis Terrier retains the drooping ears, and the ones that cut the ears form a separate variety. The English Kennel Association established them as two breeds in 1964, the one with the ear hanging down being called the Norfolk Terrier and the ear-cut one being called the Rottweis Terrier. It is a sports terrier, not a toy type.
