What causes the gills of ornamental fish? The first cause must be a lack of oxygen
Ornamental fish in the usual feeding or long-distance transportation, if it causes serious lack of oxygen, they will be gill covered, desperate to breathe, this we usually or, when we use the glass fish tank to raise goldfish when we were young, it is easy to see them floating on the surface of the water, seemingly very laborious breathing.
This situation is most likely to lead to the exposure of the gills of ornamental fish, the opening and closing of the gill cover is too large, and over time, the so-called flipping gills are caused.
The second cause is water toxin or drug irritation
In fact, this reason and the above reasons are a truth, the water quality toxins exceed the standard, the drug stimulation is too heavy, will cause obstacles to the breathing of ornamental fish.
So they also lack oxygen, followed by large breaths, excessive gill force, which is the main reason for their gills.

The causes are different, the results are the same, that is, one causes breathing difficulties in ornamental fish, which eventually leads to the gills.
Regulate water quality, increase the amount of oxygen, avoid hypoxia, whether it can be restored, depending on the severity, serious surgery
Therefore, the problem of flipping gills in ornamental fish is still due to water quality, drug overdose and gill diseases.
The cure should be cured, the water should be diverted, the oxygen should be increased, then the oxygen should be increased, these methods are not to deal with the gills, but to ensure that the ornamental fish do not die.
