Wheat stripe rust is a regional epidemic disease with wide range, rapid spread and large damage loss. Since autumn sowing, the soil moisture is relatively large, the temperature is higher than that of the same period in previous years, the moisture is better, the condensation time is long, and the infection and spread of wheat stripe rust are more favorable. In order to ensure the safe growth of wheat in Hancheng City, the Agricultural Technology Center actively carries out the monitoring and prevention and control of wheat diseases and insects.
From December 20 to 23, the Plant Protection Station of the Agricultural Technology Center comprehensively investigated the occurrence of wheat field diseases and insects in our city, focusing on a total of 48 wheat fields in the main wheat producing areas of Zhichuan, Jincheng, Xincheng and Xizhuang townships, and no stripe rust was found. After strict investigation, the current overwintering insect pests mainly include aphids, red spiders, sand leafhoppers, underground pests, etc., and the diseases occur mildly, and diseases such as powdery mild disease, leaf rust and root rot only occur sporadically in individual wheat fields.
It is recommended that the masses increase their vigilance, actively pay attention to the prevention and control of wheat stripe rust, "discover a little, prevent and control a piece", achieve "early treatment, small treatment, cure", effectively reduce the risk of wheat strip rust epidemic, and ensure the safety of wheat production in our city.
