Garrulax caerulatus is a genus of grey-billed noisy grebes in the family Cyprinidae , medium-sized , with a white lower body , grey ear feathers , and a tan -- brown (24 cm) brown-pitched grebe on the top of the head.
It is lively and inhabits bamboo bushes under forests and mountain shrublands. Rarely stands still. The sound was sharp and urgent, and it was endless. It mainly feeds on insects and also eats plant seeds. Eating a large number of pests every year has certain benefits for agriculture and forestry.
It is found in the eastern part of the Himalayas to southwestern China, southeastern Tibet, and northern Myanmar.
This species has been included in the "List of Terrestrial Wild Animals Protected by the State or of Important Economic and Scientific Research Value" issued by the State Forestry Administration on August 1, 2000.
