The golden-eyed warbler (scientific name: Seicercus burkii) is a small bird with a body length of 10–11 cm. The crown stripes on the head are grey or gray-stained green, the side crown stripes are black, and the eye areas are golden yellow. The upper body is olive green , the wings and tail are dark brown , the large coverts have narrow yellow-green tips , forming inconspicuous wing spots on the wings , and the outer pairs of tail feathers are white inwards. The yellow circles of the eyes differ from those of the white-eyed warbler and the grey-faced warbler , and some subspecies have a yellow wing stripe.
Similar species of white-orbited warblers are not golden yellow but white around the eye, with two distinct yellow wing spots on the wings and a grey side of the head. It is not difficult to identify in the wild.
Most are hidden in the lower forest. The calls are loud "chip" and "chiwoo" sounds.
In China, it is mainly distributed in southern Gansu, southern Shaanxi, Sichuan, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Guangxi, Yunnan and Tibet.
