On October 15, the Zhengzhou Forestry Bureau and the Zhongmu County Forestry Bureau jointly held the launching ceremony of the Wildlife Protection Publicity Month and the release of wild animals to improve the public's awareness of wildlife protection and bird love, further advocate a green lifestyle, and create a social atmosphere of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
Chang Jiajing, director of Henan Wildlife Rescue Center, Zhang Weidong, deputy director of Zhengzhou Forestry Bureau, Zhang Zhenzhong, deputy governor of Zhongmu County, and He Sheng, director of the County Forestry Bureau, attended the event. More than 150 people attended the event, including staff of forestry departments at the provincial, municipal and county levels, representatives of citizen volunteers, primary and secondary school students and volunteers from all walks of life.
At the launching ceremony, Zhang Zhenzhong said that Zhongmu County is currently in the stage of striving to build a modern national central city in the east of the new city, while economic construction, it is also constantly strengthening the construction of ecological civilization, firmly practicing the concept that green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains, resolutely guarding the ecological bottom line, focusing on promoting green and low-carbon development, and promoting harmonious coexistence between man and nature. It is hoped that through this public welfare publicity activity, the enthusiasm for the protection of wild animals can be set off again in the whole society.
The protection of wild animals lies in publicity and education, in the continuous crackdown, and in the participation of the whole people. Zhang Weidong proposed that at present, human beings stand at the crossroads of protecting biodiversity and achieving global sustainable development. Human beings and nature are a community of common destiny with both prosperity and loss, and only by going hand in hand, respecting nature, conforming to nature, protecting nature, providing a greater living space for wild animals, and increasing the protection of biodiversity can we promote the harmonious coexistence between man and nature and build our beautiful home.

Student representatives from Zhongmu County Qingnian Road Primary School and Jianshe Road Primary School read the wildlife protection proposal, and the innocent voice echoed in the bird watching forest.
At the scene of the release activity, the national second-level protected wild animals that were released to nature for rescue and rehabilitation included 16 wild animals of 5 species, such as red horned owl, collared owl, raccoon, kestrel, and lark; the three protected wild animals in the country were hedgehogs, hill sandpipers, spotted doves, yellow finches, night herons, etc. A total of 11 species and 29 wild animals.
According to reports, the animals selected for release this time have been rescued and rescued by the wildlife rescue department, and their ability to survive in the wild has been restored and the conditions for release have been met. The release site is selected in Zhongmu County Bird Watching Forest Park, which is the center of the three major migratory bird migration channels in China, surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of Yanming Lake wetlands and waters, where the lake grass, forests, birds, birds, fish and crabs form a benign symbiotic ecological environment, providing the best natural place for various birds to feed, attracting countless birds to survive here. The return of these wild animals to nature has further enriched the diversity of biological species in Zhongmu County and effectively promoted ecological harmony.
It is reported that in the next step, on the basis of further strengthening law enforcement, the Forestry Bureau of Zhongmu County will focus on creating the highlights of the wildlife protection publicity corridor, consolidating the normalization of the publicity position, building a solid awareness of the protection of wild animals and plants of the masses, consciously abiding by the laws and regulations on wildlife protection, taking the initiative to care for and protect wild animals, and making positive contributions to composing the harmony of ecological civilization and creating a beautiful Zhongmu.
