According to the staff, the two desert cat pups, one female and one male, were rescued in June 2021 in Menyuan Hui Autonomous County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. Under the meticulous rearing of the staff of the ambulance center, the two desert cat cubs are in good health. Because the two cubs left the adult female from childhood, lacked the ability to survive in the wild, and were not suitable for wild release, the center reported to the forestry department according to the "Measures for the Management of Wild Animal Shelter and Rescue", and was raised and exhibited in Xining Wildlife Park to carry out science education and protection publicity to tourists.
