The drama "Beijing Neighbor" is adapted from the novel "Beijing Time" by Jing Yongming, winner of the Lao She Literature Award, which tells the tragic and happy story of the "migratory birds" who came to Beijing from outside the port in the 1990s and the "resident birds" in the hutongs living in a large courtyard together. Director Tang Ye said that the whole drama has a strong atmosphere of life and black humor, "it is a sigh of sadness in the past years, and it is also a reflection and record of human survival."
Actor Zhang Xiyun plays a character in the play is an entrepreneur who followed her husband from abroad to Beijing, Xianhui ken endured hardships and had the tenacity not to be afraid of difficulties, she introduced: "The story takes place in the 90s of the old Beijing Courtyard, is a group drama, reflecting the real situation and overall appearance of the life of Beijingers and foreigners in Beijing at that time. In the unfamiliar city and the locals in Beijing, my character needs to show the tension of facing the unfamiliar environment, and the instinctive self-defense of the way of dealing with others. Zhang Xiyun graduated from the Undergraduate Class of HumanIties of the Acting Department of the Central Academy of Drama and has a solid foundation in acting. Working with the Renyi team again, Zhang Xiyun introduced: "The team we have cooperated with this time is very strong. There are senior actors of Beijing Renyi and old drama bones in the dubbing industry, so this drama is definitely worth looking forward to. Each character in the script has distinct characteristics, and I believe that through the careful creation of each of our actors, these vivid characters will be presented to every audience. ”

On the performance stage, there are not only the original presentation of the old Beijing Courtyard, but also the display of details of hutong life such as coal piles, cabbage piles, commissaries, cake carts, pigeon whistles, etc. In the hutong life of chai rice oil and salt, the "old Beijing" shows their personality background, such as the number of etiquette, sophistication, self-esteem, enthusiasm, kindness, leisure, elegance, peace, peace, and so on. Director Tang Ye said that with the deepening of the neighbors' contacts, the arrogance, prejudice and rejection of the old Beijingers to outsiders have been stripped and dismembered layer by layer, and what can be revealed is the equality, respect and enthusiasm that are from the heart.
It is reported that the play will be staged at the Chaoyang 9 Theater from March 3 to 12.
