According to Sports Bild, Gnabry asked for an annual salary of 15 million euros in the renewal negotiations.
Gnabry and Bayern's current contract expires in 2023, and SportBiz said the renewal negotiations between the two sides were going well, with the players demanding a sharp salary increase from the current €10 million to €15 million. An immediate agreement is not expected between the two sides, but Gnabry feels comfortable at Bayern and his best friend Kimmich has officially renewed his contract with Bayern until 2025.
The 26-year-old Gnabry is a German international who plays as a winger, signed by Bayern in 2017 and then loaned to Hoffenheim for a season, before returning to Bayern in 2018 and gradually growing into the team's main winger. Gnabry has remained in excellent form this season, scoring seven goals for Bayern and four for the German national team.
