The Sichuan Skills Competition - Water Conservancy Industry Occupational (River Repairer) Skill Competition has a total of 40 teams and 150 players from the municipal water conservancy departments and units directly under the department, which is the most widely participated and the largest number of participants in the vocational skills competition in the water conservancy industry in recent years, and it is also the highest-level, largest and most influential vocational skills competition in the water conservancy industry in Sichuan Province.

The competition officially began at the Aquarius Mouth of Dujiangyan Scenic Area. The contestants passed the theoretical examination and skill operation competition on the embankment, and demonstrated the basic knowledge of river repair workers, engineering operation inspection, engineering observation, engineering maintenance, engineering maintenance, engineering rescue and other daily work knowledge and skills involving river repair and defense workers.
