The manga Dororo is a work by Osamu Tezuka that did not finish completely, so the manga has some completions to the final finale in the relevant subsequent works. The original manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday (Elementary School Hall) and Adventure King (Akita Shoten), and was first animated in 1969. Later, his works were adapted into novels, games, live-action films, and stage plays. This new anime, co-produced by MAPPA and Tezuka Production, is a tv anime re-launched 50 years later, and may also give a solution to the original manga.
"Dororo" tells the story of the middle of the Muromachi period in ancient Japan, after experiencing the turmoil of Yingren and civilization, the prestige of the Ashikaga shogunate in power was greatly shaken, and it was an era when kings were not subjects. The samurai Daigo Keiko, who dreamed of dominating the chaotic world, sacrificed his unborn son to 48 demon gods and threw him into the river after the birth of his son who lacked 48 organs. The child was rescued by the doctor Shou Hai, who made prosthetic eyes, prosthetic limbs, etc. to make up for the lack of parts of the body, and raised him to grow up. Due to the child's special physique, he is very easy to attract evil spirits, which may endanger the Shouhai that nurtures him. After the two realized this, the child decided to leave his adoptive father to find a place to live. Before leaving, Shou Hai named him Hyakugomaru. After learning that his organs have been taken by the 48 Demon Gods, Hyakimaru sets out to fight the Demon Gods in order to get them back, and on the way, he encounters the thief Dororo, a teenager who claims to be a thief (in the fourth volume, it is actually a girl), and embarks on an adventure to fight with the youkai.
