In April this year, Guangxi Airport Management Group solicited the terminal area planning of Nanning Wuxu International Airport and the conceptual construction plan of Terminal 3 from the world. According to the overall planning of Nanning Airport, the collection takes 2035 as the design target year, and the airport as a whole is designed to meet the usage needs of 57 million passengers per year according to the annual passenger throughput, and the content of the call for proposals includes: conceptual building plan of Terminal 3, airside design of terminal area, landside transportation facility planning of terminal area, landside landscape design of terminal area, etc.
On October 20, seven consortiums submitted their designs. Through this review, a total of three design proposals were shortlisted. In the next step, the advantages of the three schemes will be combined and the suggestions and opinions of experts will be synthesized to determine the final design scheme. The department will also gradually carry out the work related to the conceptual construction plan of T3 Terminal, build Nanning Airport into a gateway airport and regional hub airport facing Southeast Asia, and achieve the goal of building a "four-type airport".
