Sudanese politics has recently faced serious divisions, with tensions between the military and transitional government officials intensifying. The commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Bourhan, recently declared a state of emergency and dissolved the sovereignty council and the transitional government; the transitional government prime minister Hamduk was once "kidnapped"; and the streets of the capital Khartoum were in chaos.
The Chinese Embassy in Sudan has repeatedly issued safety warnings and safety reminders, requiring Chinese citizens and personnel of Chinese-funded institutions in the Soviet Union to take safety precautions and reduce going out.

The Prime Minister of the Transitional Government returns home
As of the early morning of the 27th, a large number of military police were still deployed on the streets of Khartoum, and the network and mobile phone signals were cut off.
On the evening of the 26th, the office of Prime Minister Hamduk of the Sudanese Transitional Government issued a statement confirming that Hamduk and his wife had returned to their home in Khartoum. Many other transitional government officials remain detained in unknown locations, the statement said.
According to local sources, Hamduk's residence is tightly "protected by safety."

Sudan's current political upheaval began with a deepening gap between the military and transitional government officials in the Transitional Government. The military, led by the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Bulhan, has called for a change of government, while some government officials have accused the military of planning to seize power.
On the 25th, Bulhan declared a state of emergency, dissolved the sovereignty commission and the transitional government, and dismissed all governors. The Office of the Prime Minister of the Transitional Government of the Sudan issued a statement on the same day saying Hamduk had been "kidnapped" at his residence in Khartoum.
Military leaders: A new civilian government will be established
On the afternoon of the 26th, Burhan said at a press conference held in Khartoum that a new civilian government will be formed to lead the political transition process in Sudan, and once the relevant institutions are established, the national emergency will be abolished.
Bulhan called the actions "correcting the transitional process" rather than a "military coup."" The current state of emergency does not mean restricting freedom, and internet and communication services will gradually resume.

In April 2019, the Sudanese military announced the overthrow of the Al-Bashir regime and the establishment of a Transitional Military Council to take charge of state affairs. In August of the same year, the Transitional Military Commission and the main opposition, the Alliance for Freedom and Change, formally signed agreements such as the Constitutional Declaration on the formation of a transitional governance body for the country. According to the agreement, the sovereign committee in the early stages of the transition period will be headed by a senior military official, and the chairman of the sovereign committee in the later period will be chaired by a civilian official, followed by elections by the State.
The international community has expressed grave concern
The United Nations, the League of Arab States (LEAGUE OF ARAB), the European Union, the United States and others expressed grave concern about the situation in Sudan and called for the immediate release of detained officials and the restoration of constitutional order through dialogue.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres tweeted on social media on the 25th condemning the military's behavior and demanding the immediate release of Hamduk and other officials. Guterres called for full respect for the constitutional order and for a hard-won political transition. He said the United Nations would be on the side of the Sudanese people.
Arab League Secretary-General Gheit issued a statement on the 25th, calling on all parties in Sudan to abide by the agreement documents signed in 2019, solve the problem through dialogue, and refrain from taking any actions that may hinder the transition and shake Sudan's stability.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Borrell issued a statement on the 25th, condemning the Sudanese military's seizure of Hamduk and several non-military members of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, and calling for the immediate release of the detainees. The EU supports the establishment of a fully legitimate civilian government that ensures peace, freedom and justice for the Sudanese people, the statement said.
US State Department spokesman Price said in a statement on the evening of the 26th that US Secretary of State Blinken spoke with Hamduk on the same day to welcome Hamduk's release, and he once again asked the Sudanese military to release all detained civilian officials and ensure their safety. Blinken reiterated that the military must exercise restraint and avoid violence in dealing with demonstrators. He also stressed that the United States supports Sudan's political transition led by civilian officials.
