Flying high in the air and through the clouds has always been seen as a "challenge for the brave". In Fujian, female police pilots remained vacant until 2016, when Zheng Lu joined, becoming the only female police pilot in Fujian Province.
From flight attendants to pilots

In 2010, Zheng Lu graduated from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University majoring in English, which coincided with Shenzhen Airlines coming to Fuzhou to recruit staff for the society. With the mentality of "try it out", she successfully entered the examination and became a sister of Shenzhen Airlines.
"Being a flight attendant is a dream of many girls, and I am no exception. The experience of more than a year can also be regarded as the realization of a small dream in my life. "Zheng Lu said that during that time, she took off and landed with the plane, and found that she was more interested in flying." I'm more interested in flying a plane across the sky, and I love the feeling of freedom. ”

So she quit her job and was admitted to the Civil Aviation Flight Academy of China in 2013, starting a more than year-long road to learn to fly.
"From the very beginning, nothing will happen, going through theoretical study, hands-on operation, solo flight, exams, until you get a license." Zheng Lu said that learning to fly is a gradual process, and every link is sloppy.
For example, hover operation requires the helicopter to maintain a basically unchanged flight state in a certain space position at a certain altitude. "How this plane is not obedient" "How can it not be controlled", the first operation hover is not smooth, which is very impressive for Zheng Lu. After two or three lessons, she slowly grasped the essentials, the plane became "obedient", and her sense of pride and achievement came out of nowhere.
For a pilot, the first solo flight is significant. "After taking this step, you have entered a new world." Zheng Lu recalled her first solo flight in school in early 2014 and was still very excited. At that time, in order to make the helicopter more balanced and stable, inexperienced, she also put a large sandbag in the passenger seat. "The moment I finished the flight and stepped out of the cabin, my classmates threw water on me to celebrate, and I felt as if I had a new life." Zheng Lu laughed and said that splashing water and haircuts are traditional rituals handed down by everyone to celebrate solo flights.
"That night, I looked at my long, trimmed hair in front of the mirror and told myself I could really be a pilot." Zheng Lu said. In 2014, Zheng Lu graduated from school and obtained the qualification of helicopter pilot.

For those who are prepared, everything is just in time.
After getting his pilot's license, Zheng Lu returned to Fuzhou. She saw that the police aviation brigade of the patrol special police detachment of the Fuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau was recruiting pilots, so she signed up and successfully entered the examination and became a people's policeman.
"I've had a police uniform complex since I was a kid." Zheng Lu said that women are weak, and she wants to overturn this label and prove to the public that women can also be strong, although this is not easy.

Police pilots need good physical fitness and endurance, agile thinking and coordination skills, and excellent practical skills and theoretical reserves. In order to keep herself in good shape, Zheng Lu, who used to exercise two or three times a week, increased to four or five times, in addition, she also practiced special police training subjects such as long-distance running, sniping (shooting), emergency sticks, and military boxing (police physical boxing).

Zheng Lu said that as a female pilot, the usual training is more arduous than that of male pilots. In addition, there are various tests of psychological quality and physical strength. In training, she never relaxed because of her female identity.

"I'm a police officer first and a pilot second." Zheng Lu said that as a police aviation pilot, she faces flight professional assessment and SWAT assessment every quarter. The pressure of work comes not only from assessment, but also from the handling of emergencies during the daily execution of tasks and the on-call work status during major security periods.
"I think being a pilot, a police officer, brings me a lot of joy. I love this job, I love this job, so I am willing to dedicate myself to this job. Zheng Lu said.
The "Eye of the Sky" keeps one side safe

Against the background of the blue sky, the pattern composed of rotors, fuselages, and wings is located in the center of the badge, which refers to the "eye of the sky". According to reports, this badge was designed by the members of the police aviation brigade of the patrol special police detachment of the Fuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, which means that the police use air power to guard the safety of the people above the city.
The Police Aviation Brigade of the Patrol Special Police Detachment of the Fuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau was established in 2015, which mainly performs various tasks such as public security patrols, stability maintenance, anti-terrorism and explosion prevention, pursuit of criminals, traffic supervision, search and rescue, and security of large-scale activities.
In Zheng Lu's view, the hard work on the ground, the fine flying in the air, all the sweat and dedication are for the peace of the people.
Zheng Lu said that as a people's policeman, she feels that the difference is some psychological changes. "After putting on the police uniform, the sense of responsibility on the body is heavy, and we must not only carry out flight training now, but also participate in some police skills training on the ground, and strive to improve our comprehensive duty capabilities."
At present, Fuzhou police aviation and ground police forces have formed an all-round and three-dimensional "ground-air linkage" modern police mechanism, which has become an irreplaceable "sharp knife" force for Fuzhou police.
Since participating in public security work, Zheng Lu has completed more than 500 hours of safe flights, actively docked with relevant air traffic control departments, formulated details of the flight routes and airspace of Fuzhou public security air patrols, and successively participated in the search and arrest of many major cases in Fuzhou.
Zheng Lu has achieved outstanding results in her post, and has won the personal commendation of Fuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau for two consecutive years (2019 and 2020).
Zheng Lu said that flying at an altitude of two or three hundred meters in Fuzhou, overlooking the central urban area, high-rise buildings, traffic and traffic; when it comes to the suburbs and surrounding counties and cities, it is green mountains and rivers, looking at the river and the sea, which is beautiful.
One day, Zheng Lu, who had been on duty for more than ten hours, and his colleagues flew a plane to prepare to land in the sunset, and colleagues on the ground casually filmed this scene.
