Tension is one of the most natural means of sensationalism, and in most tense films, the protagonist's expression and a line can play a sensational effect, and American disaster films have a full interpretation of this. In this film, a group of American soldiers have to escort a group of refugees to flee, and the pursuit of the soldiers behind them is getting closer and closer, and this tension is obvious.

The best way to create tension is to let the audience know where the tension is coming from. Hitchcock places the bomb under the table of the hero and heroine who are eating breakfast, the audience can see it, the people in the play do not know, so this suspense creates tension. That is, danger can occur at any time.

In this play, the danger is fully demonstrated, the cruelty of the rebels is unparalleled, and the director has made sufficient efforts in this regard. The opening of the film is a military coup, first give everyone an impression of blood.

These four scenes can be said to be slowly escalating, step by step, very solid, constantly stimulating the audience's nerves and sympathy, and finally reaching a climax. Because of this, the audience is naturally very clear about what it will mean for the rebels to catch up with the fugitives, so this conjecture or conclusion creates a sense of tension among the viewers. As mentioned earlier, as soon as the tension comes out, the sensational thing is easy to complete, and the humanitarianism of the American clan is also revealed.

But at the same time, it is mentioned that the choice of these American soldiers, Monica's kindness is the nature of a doctor, not too convincing, Bruce's kindness is temporary, in a state of struggle, so when he wants to abandon this group of refugees is a very normal reaction.

But with the director's escalation of the atrocities of the rebels, the kindness of these American soldiers began to burst out, and they were even willing to fight to the death to survive these refugees.

Therefore, the biggest highlight of this film is that the escalation of the atrocities not only makes the audience very inbound, but also provides a theoretical basis for the American soldiers to interpret their humanitarian spirit, after all, this bloody stimulus will have a physical and psychological reaction to any good person.
