2K Games' E3 plans may have been leaked on Reddit, revealing Tiny Tina, a spin-off game that includes Borderlands, a new Marvel game, and an action game in early development.
Reddit's last article was liked on Twitter by well-known journalist Jason Schreier. The article says 2K will release a Borderlands universe game code-named "Daffodil" on E3, possibly named Wonderlands or Tiny Tina's Wonderlands (both of which are trademarked by 2K). It is said that the gameplay style of this game is similar to other Borderlands games, and the characters will have a "multi-class" division.
Schreier then tweeted again that the 2K leak was genuine, but wasn't sure if it would come up on E3.
Another piece of news that could have been leaked is a new game from UFO studio Firaxis, which is said to be a turn-based action game that uses Marvel characters. According to the leaker, this is a "combination of UFO and Marvel heroes" and there may be some "well-known actors" to voice the character.
Sources also revealed an action game called CodeName Volt, which "appears to be in the early stages of development" and has been described as a combination of "Cthulhu" and "Sopranos." It's unclear which studio is working on the game, but the leaker noted that another document last year revealed that Hangar13 was working on an "open-world sci-fi game with supernatural elements."
Finally, there's the unsurprising NBA 2K 22, whose cover will be Dirk Nowitzki (though other athletes may also appear in other versions).
At present, 2K officials have not commented on this. 2K officials have said in the earnings report that between now and March 2022, they plan to release a total of 21 games, of which 4 are "immersive hardcore games" and 2 are new series of games. Gearbox is working on one of these new games, tiny Tina as a spin-off game that might not count as a new game in this case, so there may be other new content.
