On December 10th, the Yangtze River Fishing Ban and Fishing Culture Forum opened in Wuhu, Anhui Province. With the theme of "Implementing the Ban on Fishing in the Yangtze River and Protecting and Inheriting the Fishing Culture of the Yangtze River", the forum gathered consensus through in-depth discussion and exchanges to further create a good atmosphere for the protection of the Yangtze River. The 4th "Damei Fishing Village, Safe Fishery" China Fishery Photography Exhibition and The Special Exhibition on The Prohibition of Fishing and Aquatic Life Conservation in the Yangtze River were held as one of the series of activities of the Fishery Culture Forum.
During the forum, Ma Youxiang, vice minister of agriculture and rural affairs, Zhou Xi'an, vice governor of Anhui Province, Cao Wenxuan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other leading experts watched the exhibition. Ma Youxiang carefully admired each exhibited work and learned more about the background content of the work shooting. He said that the exhibition not only fully demonstrates the beauty of China's modern fishery development and fishing culture, but also closely follows the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee to "jointly grasp the great protection of the Yangtze River", focuses on the prohibition of fishing, law enforcement, stocking and biological protection of aquatic resources in the Yangtze River, and improves the awareness of the whole society on the ecological environmental protection and fishery resource protection of the Yangtze River and rivers and lakes, which is a very successful exhibition.

Under the guidance of the Fishery administration bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Fishery Administration Office of the Yangtze River Basin Fishery Administration, the Photography Exhibition was jointly organized by the China Fishery Mutual Protection Association and the relevant units of the China Photographers Association. The exhibition exhibits nearly 100 photographic works, the content is divided into two themes: "The Fourth China Fishery Photography Exhibition" and "Special Exhibition on the Prohibition of Fishing and Aquatic Biological Protection of the Yangtze River", aiming to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, combined with the implementation of the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee on "jointly grasping the great protection of the Yangtze River", presenting the changes, achievements and fishing culture of modern fisheries through photographic works, showing the high-quality development of fisheries, disseminating fishing culture heritage, helping the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, so that the whole society pays more attention to fisheries, cares about fishermen, Pay attention to the protection of marine fishery resources.
Founded in 2016 by the China Fishery Mutual Protection Association and related units of the China Photographers Association, the "Damei Fishing Village and Safe Fishery" China Fishery Photography Exhibition has been held for four sessions so far, receiving more than 120,000 fishery photography works, and has gradually become an important window for publicizing fisheries and a benchmark for the construction of fishery culture. His works have been invited to participate in important domestic photography activities such as the China Photography Art Festival, Duyun International Photography Expo, Dalian Ocean International Photography Exhibition, etc., and won the honors of "2018 Global Chinese Top Ten Photography Exhibition".
According to curator Jing Weidong, the works of the 4th "Damei Fishing Village, Safe Fishery" China Fishery Photography Exhibition will be exhibited online on the website of the China Photographers Association "Popular Photography" Magazine, and the fifth "Damei Fishing Village, Safe Fishery" China Fishery Photography Exhibition will be launched, and the majority of photography enthusiasts will create more works that meet the themes of safe fishery, resource conservation and fishery mutual aid insurance.
