Marjunosaurus, one of the few cannibaloid species of dinosaurs, is a genus of theropod suborder Abelidaria that lived in Madagascar at the end of the Cretaceous Period, about 70 million to 68 million years ago. Ma Junlong is about 7 meters long and weighs 1.2 tons. Majunosaurus was once thought to be a dinosaur of the lower order of Majunosaurus, named Majunxosaurus/Majung, and Majunxan is now regarded as a subonymity of Majunosaurus.
Like other dinosaurs of the family Abelidae, Marjunosaurus was a bipedal predator with a short snout. Although the full appearance of the forelimbs is not known, their forelimbs are very short, and the hindlimbs are short and stout. Marjunosaurus can be distinguished from other Abelidosaurus dinosaurs, such as thicker skulls, uneven and thicker bones above the nose and mouth, and a round horn on the top of the head, which was initially mistaken for the skull cap of a diplodocus. Marjunosaurus had more maxillary and lower teeth than most Abelidosaurus dinosaurs.
Found in northwestern Madagascar, the bloodiest thing about Marjunosaurus is cannibalism. Evidence of cannibalism comes from the tooth marks on their fossilized bones, which perfectly matched the size and clearance of the teeth of the dragons. MaJunlong is about 20 feet long and once lived on the plains of Madagascar 70 million years ago. According to the researchers, there were also small and thin plant-picking counterparts at that time. Research data shows that Ma Junlong not only feeds on the same kind of people who pick plants, but sometimes also feeds on their own family members.
