Forest Whitaker (born July 15, 1961 in Texas) is an American film and television actor, producer and director.

Forrest Whitaker was born in Texas in 1961. He entered college as a young man on a sports scholarship, and after transferring to the University of Southern California, he began to focus on music studies, with the goal of becoming a musician, and won two scholarships, after which he became interested in acting, receiving another scholarship at Berkeley.
