(1) Productive tree shape. Most of the apricots used for kernels are natural round head shape, and areas with good cultivation conditions can adopt evacuation layered shapes, natural happy shapes, and some use delayed happy shapes and bush shapes.

Natural round head shape without obvious central stem, generally in the case of natural growth to be shaped and adjusted, the main trunk height of 60 ~ 80 cm, selected to retain 5 to 6 staggered main branches, the main branch base angle of 50 ~ 60, each main branch left 2 ~ 3 side branches, tree height 3.0 ~ 3.5 meters, suitable for strong upright varieties for small crown dense planting cultivation, but the later canopy is easy to be closed, the result site is moved outward. (2) Young tree shaping. When the young tree is sheared in winter, the selected central stem and main branch extension branch remain 40 to 50 cm short section, the side branch extension branch leaves 30 to 40 cm short section, other parts that need to be branched are shortened, and the auxiliary branches are generally lightly sheared or thrown to form a bunch of flower branches; the summer shear is mainly based on opening angle or heart picking, and the secondary branch can be used for reshaping. When pruning apricot trees, pay attention to: the backbone branches should leave 1 to 3 cm of protective piles above the shear buds to ensure the normal growth of the shear buds; it is not appropriate to use summer shearing to promote flowering, because it is easy to use apricots to become flowers, but the growth period injury will affect the tree potential.

(3) Fruit tree pruning. At the beginning of fruiting, the tree continues to shorten the backbone branches, cultivate large and medium-sized fruiting branches at the base of the main branches, open at the angle of summer, control the auxiliary branches, and remove overcrowded branches. At the peak of the fruiting period, the trees update the weak fruit branches in a timely manner, and appropriately remove some of the over-dense flower-like fruit branches.
