· The following is all for personal listening to the music, plus the mainstream definition of the interpretation, if there is a similarity, thank you.

· Nightwish is a band from Finland that was formed in 1996. Most of the labels that can be heard about the band are metal, theater, bel canto, gothic, etc. However, in fact, the Gothic is more inclined to dark colors, to be more precise, its magnificent and powerful, epic style melody is more inclined to the opera symphonic metal.

· Gothic metal songs tend to be dark in color, with some more pessimistic emotional colors, such as death, vampires, etc., belonging to the category of melancholy youth hobbies. All the songs of the Night Wish have a sense of power, and the chanting is even more epic, more inclined to the category of symphonic metal.

· No matter how vague and complex its definition, the magnificent picture sense created by this band is very successful, creating a different musical listening experience for countless listeners.

About this album

"Sleeping Sun" is the band's first single CD released in 1999, titled Sleeping Sun – 4 Ballads of the Eclipse, which was later included in Highest Hopes in 2005. Both lead singers are the first lead singer T sister, each song of the night wish is full of unique charm, and this single is the first of the personal favorite night wish songs.

About this single

Sleeping Sun's style is very characteristic of night wishes, of course, it is inseparable from Sister T's own skills. Solid opera singing skills, combined with metal winds. Retract freely, hold with moderation, when it is high, it is like going straight up into the sky, and when it is low, it seems to be able to fall with her, and the sense of layering is vividly reflected in it.

The background of the single itself is two theories: one is a total solar eclipse related to nature, and the other is related to the background of war. Both genres are relatively grand, but it is this symphonic metal style that sings this type of song out of the sense of pictorial sacredness.

An ode to nature, a chant to life. Piety and awe, solemnity and epic, all condensed in the song like poetry. Sister T's voice is loud and high, and in the opening scene, she can bring people into an immersive space, and it also sings a sense of holiness that cannot be desecrated.

There was a dark misty sea, ethereal and empty, and the sun shone in the sinking sea. The undulating sound depicts the end of the vast expanse in front of the eyes, composing a beautiful song.

The melody rises and falls, like the rising and falling of the setting sun. The dark tide is surging and the low part has a timeless afterglow, which can make people immersed in it for a long time.

Of course, the other songs of Night Wish are also fine. For example, The Polet And The Pendulum (Poet and Pendulum), which performs a short film, is really powerful.

Listening to many songs of the Night Wish can be said to be an immersive enjoyment. Such a unique band, really not to be missed!
