Hanyang Guqin Platform

Guqintai, also known as Boyatai, is located at the western foot of Guishan Mountain in Hanyang, on the east bank of Moon Lake, and is a commemorative building built to commemorate the period when Yu Boya played the piano and met the Zhiyin Bell. The birthplace of "Mountain Flowing Water", one of the top ten ancient chinese songs, is called the three famous places in Wuhan together with the "first building of the world's rivers and mountains" - The Yellow Crane Tower, "the first building of qingchuan in the chu country" - Qingchuan Pavilion, with beautiful lake views, beautiful scenery, quiet and pleasant, and rich cultural connotations.

The Guqin Terrace was built in the Northern Song Dynasty and has been destroyed many times since then. In the early years of Qing Jiaqing, Bi Yuan, the governor of Huguang, presided over the reconstruction of the Guqintai, and Qing Wang wrote the "Ming and Preface of the Qintai" and the "Examination of Boya Matters", which was quite praised by the times. In the tenth year of Guangxu (1884), Huang Pengnian wrote "Rebuilding the Hanyang Qintai Record". In the sixteenth year of Guangxu (1890), Yang Shoujing presided over and personally wrote Dan, and engraved the "Ming and Preface of Qintai", "Boya Examination" and "Reconstruction of Hanyang Qintai" in the Qintai Stele Gallery, and engraved the three characters of "Guqintai" on the lintel of the gate.

The Guqintai building complex covers an area of 15 acres, the scale is not large, the layout is exquisite, and the main buildings are divided into courtyards, forest gardens, flower beds, tea rooms, and layers. The cloister in the courtyard is folded according to the situation, the virtual and real are opened and closed, and the scenery is changed step by step, which contrasts with each other. The builders made full use of the terrain and terrain, and also made full use of the Chinese garden design technique of "borrowing scenery", and cleverly borrowed the landscape of Guishan Yuehu Lake, forming a broad and far-reaching artistic realm.

Visit the Guqin Terrace, enter the gate, pass through the small courtyard, go out of the right door of the tea house, and the front door is placed in the yellow tile red pillar of the Qing Daoguang Emperor's imperial book "Yinxin Stone House" to illuminate the wall. There is a small door on the east side of the wall, and the word "Qintai" on the front of the door is reported to be from the hand of the famous calligrapher of the Northern Song Dynasty. After entering the door, there are stone carvings from past dynasties and inscriptions on the wall of the corridor and the reconstruction of the qintai. Further ahead is the Qintang, also known as the Friendship Hall, and the square stone platform made of white jade in the courtyard in front of the hall is the piano platform that symbolizes Bo Ya playing the piano.

According to legend, during the Spring and Autumn Period, the Chu state violinist Yu Boya expressed his heart here, and the woodcutter Zhong Zi on the mountain could recognize its rhythm and know that his ambition was in the high mountains and flowing water. Bo Ya regarded the child period as a confidant. A few years later, Bo Ya passed through Guishan Again, learned that the sub-period had died of illness, and he was so sad that he broke the strings of the piano and never returned to the drum and piano for life, and posterity felt that his friendship was deep, and he built a platform here to commemorate it. The main attractions of the Qintai scenic spot can be summarized as follows: the "Wax Museum" in the storyline of Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi's marriage to Zhiyin; the "Yinxin Stone House" written by the Daoguang Emperor of the Qing Dynasty for Tao Wenyi's royal pen; the "Han white jade statue of Boya Fuqin"; the inscription gallery with "The Inscription and Order of the Qintai", "Boya Incident Examination", "The Record of rebuilding the Hanyang Qintai" and other inscriptions; the "Qintai Inscription Wall Poem" written by Hubei Governor Grain Dao and calligrapher Song Xiang in the sixth year of Qing Daoguang (1826 AD) with bamboo leaf ghostwriting ink.
