The eldest son, Lai Sok Kee, was born in 1903. In 1920, he went to Japan to study at the Japanese Noble Academy. After Li Yuanhong's death, he served as a director and associate of ZTE Coal Mining Company, and also served as the managing director of ZTE Steamship Company. After 1949, he served as the chairman of the ZTE Steamship Company and the vice chairman of the Zaozhuang Coal Mining Company. After 1977, he served as the vice chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Xuhui District, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, a member of the Shanghai Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and a chairman of the Xuhui District Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. He died in Shanghai on January 31, 1983. He has three sons and a daughter, all of whom are abroad. The second son, Li Shaoye, was born in 1911. In 1928, after Li Yuanhong's death, he ran the industry with his brother Shaoji. On March 3, 1935, he married Liu Xiaochen, the daughter of Liu Guanxiong, the former chief of the Navy. He is currently a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Tianjin Municipal Revolutionary Committee, and a librarian of the Tianjin Municipal Museum of Culture and History. He has two sons and two daughters.

The eldest daughter, Li Shaofen, born in 1901, graduated from Columbia University in the United States and served as a supervisor of the Tianjin Municipal Education Bureau in China. The "Cultural Revolution" was severely persecuted, resulting in a heart attack, and died in Tianjin on December 9, 1966. He has a son and a daughter. The second daughter, Li Shaofang, born in 1906, married Yuan Kejiu, the ninth son of Yuan Shikai, and after marriage, she had a bad relationship and was sent to a mental hospital. He died on 15 April 1945.
