One day, he stumbled upon a map of his father, densely packed with markers. Originally, as a military doctor, when studying the distribution of cancer patients in China, the geographical information of cancer patients collected was marked on the map one by one, and he went to the areas where the diseased groups were densely populated to understand the living environment of the group, and studied and analyzed the basic causes of cancer.
His father's approach gave Wang Dawei great inspiration. Based on the sample case data, Wang Dawei drew a spatial map and a time map of China's crime situation. The two maps merged, and he discovered the temporal and spatial laws of the crime situation. In 1998, Wang Dawei was sent to the United Nations Institute of European and North American Crime in Helsinki, Finland, to learn advanced experience, and the director of the institute, Matti, took out a map of the temporal and spatial distribution of crimes based on 20,000 crime samples and introduced him to the latest crime research results in Finland. Recalling the past, Wang Dawei smiled proudly, "China has had achievements in this regard as early as ten years ago, and the sample is much larger than them."
In addition to scientific research results, Wang Dawei is thinking about how to spread the difficult and difficult police discourse and legal knowledge in a way that the people like to hear, and truly make the scientific research results benefit mankind and society.

Nursery rhymes written in 200 lives
More than a decade ago, a father from Jilin came to Beijing with his daughter to find Wang Dawei. He thought of nursery rhymes.
Soon, his first nursery rhyme "Little Bear" was published: "Little Bear Cub is a good baby, and the vest pants are all worn." No one else is allowed to touch it, and boys and girls know it. ”
Since then, he has been unable to receive it. For more than ten years, Wang Dawei has created and compiled more than 200 children's safe nursery rhymes. Later, according to the characteristics of children's learning cognition, he created and choreographed supporting dance movements for each nursery rhyme.

In order to spread the nursery rhymes to children faster and more quickly, today, at the age of 60, he works more than 10 hours a day. "Protecting children is noble scientific research"
"Making nursery rhymes and performing safety exercises on TV, this doctoral supervisor is too unprofessional." Some people scoff at his approach, thinking that this is too much for a doctoral supervisor, how can they be uneasy and at ease to engage in scientific research and publish papers?
Perhaps because the nursery rhymes were too influential, it overshadowed Professor Wang's academic achievements. In fact, he was one of the first batch of international students sent to the West to study police science in China, one of the important introducers of modern Western police science in China, and one of the founders of the discipline of police science in China. Zhang Mi, deputy director of the Organization Department of the Haidian District Committee of Beijing Municipality, introduced that when Wang Dawei was sent to the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom to study, he published the English book "Criminal Taiji and Criminal Gossip - The Hierarchy of Criminal Causes" in 1991. Wang Dawei's later publication of "British and American Police Science" established a framework for the scientific theoretical research of foreign police. He creatively translated dozens of new police science concepts, which played an important reference role in China's police reform. Wang Dawei's 400,000-word doctoral dissertation ,"Research on Victims of Primary and Secondary School Students", was printed and published immediately after passing the defense, becoming one of the founding works of the theoretical research on victims in primary and secondary schools. From more than 30 years of teaching, Wang Dawei's "Basic Theory of Public Security Studies" is the first state-level high-quality video open class in the public security system, and the students he has trained are now the backbone of the public security field.
In fact, Wang Dawei, an expert in crime prevention, a standing director of the China Juvenile Delinquency Society and a special government allowance from the State Council, could have lived a very comfortable life, but a vicious incident in 2012 deeply touched him.
At the entrance of the campus in a city in Fujian Province, a man with a knife committed a crime, and in 53 seconds, 8 children were killed. What is even more painful is that one of the children did not know how to escape, but ran in the direction of the knife-wielding bad guy, sending his precious life into the tiger's mouth.

Wang Dawei said, "One child's life has encountered misfortune, and we can't let other children encounter accidents again, so I want to make nursery rhymes for children." ”
The disappearance of Zhang Yingying and the Jiang Ge case in 2017 have caused great repercussions in the society, making families, schools and society once again pay attention to the safety education of students. "If children had received practical safety education at an early age, these vicious incidents might not have occurred." Wang Dawei said, "Child safety education should attract widespread attention and popularization of methods. Safety education is the best protection
Children are the hope of a family and the future of the motherland. Criminals will not take back the hand of evil because of the child's young age, and safety education should start from the doll.

In recent years, he has created 20 safety education works written for children, such as "Children's Safety is Greater than Heaven - Wang Dawei's Safe Nursery Rhymes", "Safe Little Lantern", "Accident-free School", "Youth Prevention Manual" and so on. He was also invited to carry out a number of safe self-protection publicity programs on CCTV. In 2005, Wang Dawei was named a popular law star on CCTV's legal channel. In 2013, his "Ping An Nursery Rhymes" won the National Science Popularization Excellence Award of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In May 2017, Chinese Min Public Security University established Professor Wang Dawei's Studio (Youth Safety Research Institute) for him.
The encouragement and praise from the children especially made Wang Dawei full of motivation. For more than ten years, Wang Dawei has been running around the children's safety education all day long, and he has seen many mothers lose their beloved sons, wash their faces with tears, and do not want to die.

With such courage, Wang Dawei lifted the safety of his children above his head and buried misunderstandings and hardships deep in the dirt. He is not afraid to sit on the cold bench, not afraid of the ridicule of others, he has no project funding support, nor does he spare the effort to write advanced academic papers, he just wants more children to master safety knowledge and stay away from danger at critical times.
