The Republic of Mauritius is an island nation in eastern Africa, located in the southwestern Indian Ocean, about 800 km from Madagascar and 2,200 km from the African continent. As a volcanic island nation, Mauritius is surrounded by coral reefs and has a variety of landscapes, with narrow plains along the coast and plateau mountains in the middle, with multiple mountains and isolated peaks. The entire territory consists of the island of Mauritius and other small islands, and after being colonized by the Dutch, French and British countries, it gained independence from British colonialism on 12 March 1968, and there are many Chinese on the island.

Mauritius has a subtropical oceanic climate with rain and drought throughout the year, with an average temperature of 25°C. Highland lakes provide fresh water resources for the islanders. Mauritius has a subtropical oceanic climate. The whole year is divided into summer and winter, and the summer is from November to April of the following year, when the temperature of the sea is higher, about 27 °C, the temperature of the coast is 27 °C, and the central plateau is slightly lower, at 22 °C. Winter is from May to October every year, and the average temperature along the coast is higher, at 24 °C, and the central plateau is slightly lower at 19 °C, when the sea temperature is about 22 °C. The climate is warm throughout the year. Relatively speaking, the climate here is cooler from June to November, with less rain, which is the best time to travel, while Mauritius is rainy from January to March, sometimes with tornadoes, and the climate is hot and humid.

<h3>Topography</h3>

The island of Mauritius was formed by volcanic eruptions and the shallow sea is surrounded by coral reefs. The coast is a plain; the central part is a plateau, with an average height of 600 meters, and the highest peak, the peak of the M River, is 826 meters high.
