But one of the most memorable voices for me is Huang Yiling, among the Female Singers of Minnan, her appearance is not outstanding, nor is she a top singing skill, and even the content of her works is almost the hatred, resentment, sadness and the like of the traditional theme of Minnan songs, but I feel that her voice is particularly flavorful, even if the interpretation of cheesy love songs is unique and full of convincing. It's easy to get caught up in the atmosphere where she sings songs.
Huang Yiling's songs are roughly divided into 4 periods, each period has different characteristics as she grows older and her mentality changes.
The Goering period
In 1987, 18-year-old Huang Yiling released her first solo album "Tell What Mountain League Sea Oath" as a newcomer, which became a blockbuster and quickly became popular throughout the streets and alleys of Taiwan, and the title song of the album was created by her mentor Wu Jinhuai, which fully played the characteristics of Yiling's voice. It still sounds amazing today, with a high-pitched crisp voice, but the voice is thick and powerful, mature in transliteration skills, with nasal sounds, which sounds different. In 1992, the 11th album "Sorrowful Love Dream" was released in Gelin, during which time Huang Yiling's voice became gentle and soft, and the title song "Sorrowful Love Dream" showed a kind of sadness unique to the girlhood. But the album was modest and less vocal than before, as the popular trends in the Hokkien music scene changed. On the one hand, after Jiang Hui's "Voice of the Heart After Drinking" was praised, Zhang Xiuqing's "Station" was popular all over the country, Chen Xiaoyun's "Love Is Just Right" caused a wave of imitation, and even Wang Ruixia, who sang the same type of music style as YiLing, also sprung up. In the face of fierce competition in the music scene, it is obviously not a smart move to stay where you are.
Period of radiance
"In early 1993, a bearded man took Huang Yiling's "Go Out for a Walk", which is a new work by Huang Yiling who left Gelin to join the record, produced by the folk master Chen Mingzhang, the style changed from a teen idol to a mature woman, the singing voice was also greatly adjusted (more natural and smooth), the change generally experienced pain, the album's reputation is good, but there is no outstanding title song and the previous fan group can not accept and lead to poor sales. In the second half of the year, "Taiwan Song Ancient Morning Song" was released to commemorate the mentor Wu Jinhuai, and the sales were also unsatisfactory, but "Infatuated Moon Niang Island" became a classic red song in the early years. The failure of the transformation forced Huang Yiling to return to the original style, releasing "Broken Heart" in 1994, which was shortlisted for the Golden Melody Awards of that year as a dialect female singer, due to Zhang Xiuqing's high momentum, she finally lost to Xiuqing. Produced by Xu Changde in 1995, "The Wine of Love Has Not Retreated" was amazing as soon as it opened, and after a lot of live singing publicity, it finally sold well, and Huang Yiling returned to the throne of Tianhou. "Feelings are so long, youth is so short, I am alone." At this time, Yi Ling's voice was clear and sad, and the wine of love seemed to be really "drunk and sober". The scandal of Huang Yiling's birth in 1996 was boiling over, and although it was confirmed to be true several years later, it was not acknowledged at the time. In fact, looking back at "Love You Unconditionally", I can roughly appreciate the inner struggle of the singer at that time.

Shanghua period
In 1998, she released "Thanks to the Heartless Man", which won her the title of Best Dialect Female Singer at the 10th Golden Melody Awards. And this album is defined by me as the pinnacle of her bitter love songs, although it is a bitter love song, but it is a great realization, although it has experienced emotional setbacks, it can still "thank the heartless person". The next release of "Wordless Love Criticism" is a transitional work, there are several 90s Huang Yiling is good at lyrical rock, there are several new era Huang Yiling's sketch love songs (recommended dumb love songs, can be regarded as Huang Yiling's very heartfelt songs). In general, several of Shanghua's albums are much more mature than ever, both in terms of singing and production. Released in 2000, "New Songs + Selection" re-sang the classic works of the early years, although I did not like the selection of songs, but it was also a summary of the singing career.
The New Millennium Period
In the second half of 2000, "Desperate" was released, which is a new Taiwanese album, Huang Yiling's singing voice has become introverted, singing with a faint tone of deep affection, such delicate love songs as "Desperate", "Lost Love Rain" and "Lover's Luggage", which are none other than her. Such a Chinese-style Taiwanese album will be favored by the traditional Taiwanese song market, not to mention that there is no more Chinese music fans support like Jiang Hui (Jiang Hui even if there are many Chinese fans, the main song is also quite energetic), so the sales are not good, in 2001 released "Sea Waves", this piece of publicity is very smart, cloaked in traditional skin to sell new Taiwanese songs, if you listen carefully to "Waves of the Sea" will feel that it is simply "Desperate 2.0" (why is 2.0 not 1.5? Quite simply, singing and production are more refined. However, many consumers still believe in publicity, coupled with a good title song, it is natural that "Waves of the Sea" is better than "Desperate".
2005 album
In 2005, two albums were released, "A You As a Companion" and "Song of Life", these two did not sell very well in that year, the record company reorganized, so that the "Song of Life" publicity was terminated, the original concert was cancelled, the record contract was ended, and Huang Yiling entered the trough of her life. Later, Huang Yiling said that when she sang "The Song of Life", she sang with the mood of summing up her own life. The songs of life still touch many people, and perhaps this is the power of the singer's heart.

Huang Yiling came into contact with a religious group during the trough period, and her mood gradually changed, and in 2008, the good sister Lin Huiping's "Talking about Listening to Yourself" was very good, but it could only be told that she listened.
