Update on the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic situation in Guangdong Province
At 0-24:00 on October 26, there were 2 new imported confirmed cases in the province (1 of which was confirmed by an asymptomatic infected person), 1 case was reported in Guangzhou, from Benin, and 1 case was reported from Foshan, from the United Arab Emirates. There were 3 new cases of asymptomatic infection imported from abroad, 2 cases were reported in Guangzhou, from Thailand and Saudi Arabia, and 1 case was reported from Foshan from Guinea. One new case was discharged from hospital. There are currently 34 cases in hospital.
As of 24:00 on October 26, the province has reported a total of 6176 cases of positive COVID-19 infection (4235 cases imported from abroad), of which 3217 cases are confirmed cases (1650 cases imported from abroad) and 2959 cases of asymptomatic infection (2585 cases imported from abroad).
