Legend has it that in the twenty-eighth year of The Reign of Victory, that is, in 219 BC, Qin Shi Huang toured the mountains in the east to seek the medicine of immortality, and on the way he fell seriously ill, and the minister Li SiFei Ma Chishan visited the Ming God, and asked for the nine handfuls of earth twists in front of the Red Gate Cave and saved the life of the First Emperor. Later, the undead of the ancient northern nobles had to ask the Akayama Ming God to guard it, in the hope that the Ming God would bring the dead back to life, eliminate sins, relieve suffering, and even if they could not, they hoped to bless their descendants and families. Later, due to the rise of Taishan, I don't know when "the soul returned to the Red Mountain" gradually evolved into "the soul returned to Taishan". In the first year of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang 's reign (that is, in 847 AD), the Japanese monk Yuanren, who had entered the Tang Dynasty to seek the Dharma, crossed the sea from Chishanpu (present-day Rongcheng Shidao Bay, Weihai) to return to China, and on the way, he suddenly encountered wind and waves, and when he was in danger, the Akayama Mingshen appeared to cast a spell to calm the wind and waves, and Yuanren and his party were able to return to China smoothly. After his death, his disciples built the Akayama Zen Temple in accordance with his will to enshrine the god Akayama Daimyō, and since then, Akayama Daimyō has been deeply involved in Japanese society from the imperial family to the people, becoming the protector of the lives and property of the Japanese people and the protector of the Tendai Sect of Japanese Buddhism, and this Zen temple later became one of the seven ancient temples in Kyoto, Japan.

The Akayama Ming God is eager for justice and righteousness, and can help the weak to relieve difficulties, attract wealth and treasure, and give blessings in times of embarrassment. According to legend, there are eighteen gold leaf and countless treasures in the Red Gate Cave of the Ming God's Mansion, one gold leaf is worth half of Shandong, and the millet on the stone mill is all gold beads. People who are related to the gods, from cattle herders, monks, boatmen to generals, are all blessed by him. Especially during the Tang Dynasty, the Silla (present-day Korea) Zhang Baogao joined the Tang Army, and when he became famous, he later came to Chishanpu, abandoned the army and joined the business under the protection of the Chishan Ming God, successfully carried out maritime trade between China, South Korea and Japan, and became the "king of maritime trade" in Weizhen East Asia, Silla, and rich and invincible. In this way, the merchants and the three religions and nine streams have been worshipped by the Chishan Ming God and Marshal Zhao Gong and Guan Sheng Emperor jun as the gods of martial wealth.
